Two New York City police officers were trying to arrest a belligerent suspect when one of the officers was attacked by an angry bystander.
Disturbing video shows the unknown attacker pummeling the police officer and putting him into a headlock.

The NYC Sergeants Benevolent Association posted video of the attack and put the blame on City Councilman Corey Johnson. Johnson backed a bill that would make it a misdemeanor for police to use any maneuver that restricts a suspect’s airflow. “COREY JOHNSON your STUPID law is about to be signed by NYC STUPID Mayor it’s time you both take your community input & grab these perps yourself,” read the SBA tweet, posted with the video.
Forget the tweets, take care of the problem at its source.
