It tells you nothing because you have no idea what their job entails. Walk in their shoes for a while. Go out to work every day, and not know if you'll be going home alive when your shift ends. At least part of that pension will go to their survivors.

The police have been told to “stand down.” If they arrest the perp he will be released immediately. If he resists arrest the officer’s life could be in danger or he could end his career in disgrace. I would do the exact same thing knowing that the current xxxxxxx will not be reelected.
