I’ve probably forgotten more about law enforcement work, tactics and techniques than you ever knew. No offense though.
I spent 25 years as a Peace Officer in New York State’s Department of Correctional Services, first as an officer, and then as a Sergeant. Been retired for almost 17 years. Only worked in male prisons. I’m a 72 year old female. One of the lucky ones to live to retire. I always felt safer in the prison, and never would have wanted to be a cop. I was too old anyway, but the cops had it a lot harder, and I always felt bad for the crap they had to put up with. Each department has its own set of politically appointed a-holes who want to tell you how to do your job. And every department at some point tells you, you’re going to have to do even more, with less. What these Democrat-run cities are doing to these police officers is a sin. They’ve put a target on every law enforcement officer’s back across the country. It’s open season on cops. The one thing I won’t do is demean them any more than they already are being demeaned. They need our support, not our disdain. The Democrats are doing a good enough job of that.
