The Richmond judge who blocked Virginia from removing the Robert E. Lee statue on Monument Avenue has granted an injunction that bars the city from continuing to remove Confederate iconography.

Richmond Circuit Court Judge Bradley C. Cavedo ordered Thursday a 60-day injunction halting further removal of Confederate monuments, which the city has been taking down since last week. The decision came after an anonymous plaintiff sued Richmond Mayor Levar Stoney earlier this week over his order to remove the symbols.

Then arrest him.

That’s what the “Little People” can expect when they violate the law.

then the mayor should be held accountable. If anyone wants to see how Democrats would run the country then look at their states

What protects them on the 61st day?

The article title that you posted is correct,
but, oddly enough, the text of the article
(yes, I went to the link and read it)
says NOTHING about who the “Ashe family” is,
or what their issue might be.

"The mayor should be publicly executed where a statue once stood that he ordered taken down."

So on a site that you don't own and are a guest, you're calling for the murder of the mayor?

Stop crapping on FR.

Probably Arthur Ashe. He was a top tennis player for a while. I know he was from Richmond so probably had a monument.

He died of aids which I think he acquired from blood transfusion during heart surgery.

Quite right. They are the family of a guy who hated Richmond and never did anything for the city but erected a monument to him nonetheless.

Complacency.

Sadly it’s infected a lot of Americans IMO. You know the ones, complain about everything happening but when you put them on the spot about doing something about it they say, “you can fault me”. I can and do. It even spurred a little row with my sweetie when I told her so. You know what though, she took to Fakebook ,(which I have never been on), and demanded our local school district hold graduation of some sort for this year’s seniors. She rallied quite a few people to her thinking. I must say, she made me happy because she cared enough to passionately speak up.

Arthur Ashe- tennis legend and native of Richmond who is also on memorialized on Monument ave. Also, he was black. The family recognized the statue destroyers probably have no love for Arthur Ashe.

Next Monday night the city counsel of Jacksonville, Alabama will hold a town meeting on the removal of a southern soldier statue from the town square. Our pastor, a retired Army officer, will be there and as he told us at Bible study last evening, he plans to speak up. He said that southern soldiers were not foreign invaders, they were Americans also. 750,000 men died in that war. All Americans. The most deaths in war that we have ever had. History is history. You cannot change it. You can only REPEAT it. That statue has been there for decades and decades. I am sick of this attempt to destroy everything that is history. It needs to be there to remind us of history.
