Gold: I decided to speak out for one very specific reason. That was I was actually presented with a definite positive COVID patient and I prescribed hydroxychloroquine because I was very up on the literature on this and I got severely reprimanded for it. I also had received from the state board threatening all doctors, I was just one with a potential investigation into me for unprofessional conduct if I was to prescribe hydroxychloroquine.
This was so shocking to me and had never happened where the government told a physician if they had the right or not to prescribe an FDA medication. That is just an event that took me by surprise. I thought to myself if doctors dont speak up than we are really all lost.
Wohlgelernter: I think its important in terms of peoples perspectives about the impact of COVID. That they understand that the data now shows that 99.7 percent of people infected with COVID will survive. Zero-point three percent die.
And the vast majority of those people who die as weve discussed are the elderly. The frail. Those that are at the end of life. Its not to say that we dont care about those deaths. On the contrary, we feel that many of those deaths could have been and should have been prevented had the proper precautions been taken as were taken in the state of Florida.
In contrast to how things were handled in the states of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania where the nursing homes were not protected and were forced to take people who were actively infected. What we needed to do was not lock down all of society. Not shut down schools. Not shut down all businesses. You needed to protect the elderly.

Thank you for posting this.
Very interesting.
“Hmmmm. 12 million confirmed cases world wide. 552 thousand deaths.
That’s 4.6% not 0.3%
Just sayin’.”
I believe he’s saying in the U.S., not in the whole world.
113 thousand deaths in the USA
÷3.1 million confirmed cases in the USA
×100
=3.6%
Welcome to the collective, doctors. Please check the latest directives from the state, before you think too much on these important state issues.
An estimated 1 out 15 people who had China Flu were reported as a case. 1/15 of 4.6% is 0.3%. Just sayin.
If you stratify your data into age groups, and compare this mortality rate to the normal mortality rate, there most likely is not a big difference to normal.
According to the CDC, the average mortality rate for person’s over age 85 was 12.9% and 5.01% for age 75 to 85 for 2007, the last year the mortality rates for all deaths and all causes was published by them.
Source please?
I'd love to be wrong on this one!
Oh, and BTW, if you use 1/15th the number of cases as the denominator...
552 thousand deaths world wide
÷800 thousand cases world wide (That's 1/15th of 12 million)
×100
=69%!
YOW!
Good idea, do so and report back!
We’ve been fed a steady diet of bunk science related to HCQ. That idiotic VA study was worthless as far as scientific value. The study in Brazil was also fraught with errors. They mixed HCQ and Chloroquine, the older version of HCQ which did have a higher incidence of heart palpitations, one of the reasons they invented the Hydroxy version of the drug.
The WHO and the FDA and CDC and the various states and who knows who else are totally derelict - and that is being very generous. I’d say they are all being downright insidious, playing medicine and science and human suffering for partisan and ideological political gain. Sick. Even the medical establishment, medical journals, medical reporters are behaving totally irresponsibly.
But sooner or later, the data will hit them like a falling piano.
The first I heard about hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine was from Laura Ingrahm which she took as a preventative on her trips to a Malaria prone country....that started the politicization of the drug. President Trump said it might be a good medication, also cheap. That was met with the usual media derision and the Speaker and her minions sneers and mockery, weaponizing hydroxychloroquine...the rest is history.
Thank you Doctors Dr. Simone Gold and Dr. Dan Wohlgelernter for your courage to speak out for your profession and for Americans and their welfare.
I did know that they were using HCQ on patients who were already in severe distress, maybe even to the point of intubation, in some of the studies. Before this video though, I did not understand why HCQ works in the early stages but not in the later stages of the disease. These doctors make it very clear.
Here is the USA mortality rate by 10 yr age group for 2007
Rates are per 100,000 population
(NORMAL MORTALITY FROM ALL CAUSES)
1-4 years 28.6
5-14 years 15.3
15-24 years 79.9
25-34 years 104.9
35-44 years 184.4
45-54 years 420.9
55-64 years 877.7
65-74 years 2,011.3
75-84 years 5,011.6
85 years and over 12,946.5
Mortality experience in 2007
+ In 2007, a total of 2,423,712 resident deaths were registered in the United States.
2,423,712 deaths / 301,200,000 US Population = .00804
+ The age-adjusted death rate, which takes the aging of the population into account, was 760.2 deaths per 100,000 U.S. standard population.
+ Life expectancy at birth was 77.9 years.
+ The 15 leading causes of death in 2007 were:
1. Diseases of heart (heart disease)
2. Malignant neoplasms (cancer)
3. Cerebrovascular diseases (stroke)
4. Chronic lower respiratory diseases
5. Accidents (unintentional injuries)
6. Alzheimers disease
7. Diabetes mellitus (diabetes)
8. Influenza and pneumonia
9. Nephritis, nephrotic syndrome and nephrosis
(kidney disease)
10. Septicemia
11. Intentional self-harm (suicide)
12. Chronic liver disease and cirrhosis
13. Essential hypertension and hypertensive renal disease
(hypertension)
14. Parkinsons disease
15. Assault (homicide)
Using the same variables, I get a slowly declining mortality rate currently around 6.3% for the US which includes a two week span between confirmed and death. Your number is significantly lower. Are you offsetting the death tally?
I don’t have the granularity in my data subset to do that.
But looking at world data I see an unmistakable drop in the mortality rate over time.
If I use world completed cases (recovered+deaths) as the denominator the raw world death rate has dropped from 10.9 to 8.7% in just the past month.
If I do the same two week offset you and The Lancet used it’s from 9.5 to 7.8%.
I favor a three week offset that gives the world one month death rate drop of from 8.7% to the current 7.2%.
I find your US only number of 6.3% very believable.
What a GREAT article! Please, everyone, read to the end, or watch the vid. Bookmark it, post the link on social media.
HCQ does work, we knew that, but the studies showing it was harmful—evry one of them—wer corrupted!!! No doubt on purpose. Big money behind this kind of massive manipulation. Political, definitely. I think it was to keep the lockdowns at all costs.
Definitely seeing a mortality drop in both the US and Western Europe. Haven’t run any analytics on the other regions.
>> I favor a three week offset
I’ve also reviewed that offset not being sure about the average span between “confirmed” and “death”. With the continuously increasing confirmed count, two weeks will no doubt create a more favorable projection. Three weeks definitely provides a more conservative & cautious outlook.
“...murder of the CEO and wife of the company making generic HCQ...”
What was his name, and the name of his company?
