Amid Deadly Riots, Oprah Signs on to Adapt Anti-American '1619 Project'
PJ Media ^ | 8 July 2020 | Tyler o'Neil

Posted on 07/08/2020 6:05:49 PM PDT by Rummyfan

Following the horrific police killing of George Floyd, peaceful protests devolved into looting, riots, and arson. These riots, inspired by the idea that America is a fundamentally “institutionally racist” country and therefore needs to be uprooted, arguably echo The New York Times‘ “1619 Project,” which claims that America’s true founding came with the arrival of the first black slaves in 1619, rather than the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. The project’s founder, Nikole Hannah-Jones, said (in a now-deleted tweet) that “it would be an honor” for the riots to be called “the 1619 riots.”

Yet on Wednesday, Oprah Winfrey announced that she had teamed up with Lionsgate and the Times to launch a grand multi-media campaign to turn the 1619 Project into “multiple feature films, TV series, documentaries and other cross-platform content for a global audience,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“It’s been almost a year since we published the [1619 Project], the most important work of my life, and I am so excited to announce that we will be partnering with [Lionsgate] and the one and only [Oprah Winfrey] to bring this work on slavery’s legacy to tv and film!” Hannah-Jones tweeted.

“When the [1619 Project] came out almost a year ago, I stood in tearful applause for the profound offering that it was giving our culture and nation,” Winfrey responded. “Today, I am honored to be a part of [Hannah-Jones]’ vision to bring her transformative work to a global audience. Stay tuned, y’all!”

Y'all?! Really?! For some reason, on a day of depressing news after depressing news, I find this particularly depressing. The black female billionaire is going to lead an effort to spread more lies against the country that made her a billionaire. She is downright evil.

I remember her being enraged years ago because she went to a store after it had closed and was irritated that they wouldn’t reopen it for her. She was singled out so that unlike the rest of us who can just waltz into a commercial establishment after hours, bang on the door, demand the employees stay late and wander through the store at our leisure.

Are you going to give up all your ‘ill gotten riches’ that the 1619 folks say that you could not have gotten because of your race?

Oprah defies gravity and jumps the shark. Her decision is unquestionably one that is based on racial identity. Black lies matter.

Didn’t she airbrush the Jews and their contributions to the civil rights movement out of “Selma”?

Wikipedia says of the 1619 project:

“The plan was to challenge the notion that American history began in 1776.”

because

“The first African slaves in the English colonies of mainland North America arrived in August of 1619.”

And I add a hearty piss off to go with it. I am so tired of this BS. The only way things will change in the godless government schools is when parents actually do something - namely pull their kids out of these propaganda mills. You can attend all the meetings you want, but until these school systems are hit with a loss of money from losing most of their captives, it won’t make a bit of difference.

The democrat controlled media deliberate miss portraying the six foot seven inch 200 plus pound Floyd as an innocent black who was being forceably restrained because he was black not because he was resisting arrest. When He was legitimately arrested for passing a counterfeit $20 dollar bill he was resisting arrest and was a threat if not secured. But the media was not mentioning his size or reporting that Floyd was removed from a squad car because he was acting up under the influence of drugs and also later was discovered to have COVID 19. Which suggests his physical condition may have led to his death which the media turned into a murder change and a charge of serious abuse by police because of police efforts that were tried to get him who under control. If Obama had urged blacks to believe in the justice system and comply with the police would we be confronting his use of creating racial division now ?
The results of politically induced miss reporting incidents where blacks have resisted legitimate arrest began to be used earlier during and after the post Zimmmerman trial, then on to the Ferguson episode. Obama’s abuse of the “Bully Pulpit” which seemed to promote resistance to legitimate arrest led to black gangs attacking non blacks found innocently traversing black neighborhoods and to a score of murders or life changing injuries and later attacks of theft and vandalism on local businesses as well as attacks and murders of police officers during that period

Nobody should ever allow their kids to be ‘educated’ by any of these Godless marxist bastards anymore. We see what a generation of that has come to. Idiot kids who want to tear down their own historical heritage and abolish police.

What more proof do people need to see? Do they have to have their own homes burned down to snap out of it?

These idiots must think that America invented slavery. We didn’t. It was a different time when most of the world imrbaced slavery because of ignorance. We fought a bloody war to abolish it in this country. Too bad so many want to act like they’re still on the plantation and can’t let it go.
