A very pleasant good Tuesday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country and thanks Lauren for this morning's thread.

How's everyone doing this morning?

When I came back to TN to help Mom out when her health was going downhill, she got it in her head she wanted to move to Palmdale, CA to get away from the pollen here. It was a close call and we almost did it but she decided she really wasn’t up to making the move. WHEW! I wasn’t looking forward to it at all. I have enough trouble dealing with it being drab during winter and know it would be a miserable experience to live year-round without a lot of greenery. Some folks can handle it but I just don’t think I could.

Bad Smokey! I figured she’d be more than ready for some more of that canned food.

Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))

We’re roasting over here. I think your super-hot weather moved this way and now it won’t budge. LOL

Did you and Gizmo head back to Comanche Lake or go to Waurika Lake for a change of scenery?

Well, I had to coax Gizmo out of the house to go to the bathroom this morning. We had a little bit of thunder and lightning and that is something he is afraid of.

I'm going to be busy later this morning. I'm going to try to wrap up the brush pile and put as much of in in the dumpster for later this week.

We had a great visit to Comanche Lake yesterday. Here are all the pics.

I thought she would be ready, too, but she never came. I’ve been out a few times to see if she was lurking about and nooo Smokey.

Just by the hair on your chinny-chin-chin you didn’t become a desert rat like me. LOL!

Guess I’ll go now. I am still not sleeping well in the heat so am tired earlier. See ya tomorrow for a quiz. Just have to pick something fun. :)

Poor Gizmo. A few of our cats are afraid of thunder and there’s no coaxing them out of their hidey spots for a while afterwards.

It sounds like you have a busy day ahead. Get it done early before it gets too hot to deal with it.

Looks like Gizmo had a grand time yesterday. Tall grass, interesting smells to sniff, and water to stand in to cool off. Hard to be it! LOL

There’s no telling what that silly cat will do from one day to the next. Maybe she’ll show up tomorrow.

Yeah, it was too close for comfort. I reeeeeeeeeally wasn’t hot on the idea of moving to the desert. I’ve checked it out since then with Google Maps and was so glad we didn’t move.

Good luck getting some sleep tonight.
