When someone else has a right to your labors, that is exactly what slavery is.

Democrats have ruled cities for decades. Their cities are corrupt squalor zones. This is just another scheme of leveraging federal money to bail out their bankrupt cities. Democrats know only failure and stealing other people’s industry by fomenting class warfare.

“. . . Mayor Michael Tubbs, who is leading one of the first major U.S. basic income experiments in his hometown of Stockton, California. Since February 2019, Tubbs has been working with researchers to disburse $500 a month to 125 residents.”

And the researchers found this in their experiments: people will accept free money each month and report they need more.

Of course the money would come from those that work and have to pay an increase in income taxes to support them.

There is already a universal basic income. If you don’t work, your basic income is zero. It can only get better from there.

They win either way.

The people not for this will move away, thus making their positions more secure.

If you stay, you pay.

And if no one working, with capital, or with assets/equity is left? Do they think they can force the rest of the nation to pay for the commie/prog cities to rule over the productive?

I think they lose either way: no one to pay and tons of demanders who will burn it all down.

Islands of commie blue in a sea of populist red. I think it’s called siege.

This is just like the ChiComs asserting the world is all China. It is a lie, a delusion and a purposeful fomenting of war.

They will all lose. First, though, it will be bloody.

Loans usually require collateral.

Chicago is losing the productive.

The gimmedats are destroying the physical infrastructure.

The entire prog agenda is destroying the economic infrastructure. What you are calling loans are really junk bonds. High interest because they are smoke & mirrors & will never pay a dime.

They may have reached the end of this particular long con.

Yeah, it was an intensely stupid Democrat President (LBJ) and the Democrat Majority in Con Gress that funded trillions on the "War On Poverty!" (aka "WOP"}

That is the flash point: The long con ends when the suckers say No Mas.

I had a big sat dish back in the 90s. News feeds weren’t encrypted and we watched the Second Russian Revolution raw, without sound. Also got to watch the editing feeds, for a time.

Anyway, big, burly workers, the so-called heart of the proletariat, were calmly and methodically stacking those little Russian cars up in barricades, then reinforcing it with whatever else they could find. The former true believers, those in whose name the Bolsheviks first took power, were the front lines against the commies, 70 years later.

In the blue cities, it’s now 50 years of the long con and even those who were convinced they were profiting have had enough. No money. No votes. No presence. They will fall just like the USSR.
