In the American Thinker (June 30), Jack Cashill offers an eloquent plea for an Atticus Finch to take up the cause of George Zimmerman in suing those responsible for perpetrating the Trayvon Hoax. There is another case, also in Florida, awaiting its Atticus Finch, the product of an earlier moral panic, the now largely forgotten "mass sex abuse in daycare" hysteria. These cases, replete with lurid charges the media mindlessly and breathlessly disseminated in the 1980s and '90s, are today widely recognized as a modern version of the Salem witch trials of the 1690s, down to allegations of Satanic rituals by caregivers. Despite this, one victim remains incarcerated. Frank Fuster has now served thirty-five years in prison for a crime not only that he did not commit, but that never happened. His first parole hearing is scheduled an unbelievable 114 years from now in March 2134.
Why is Fuster alone still in prison when the dozens of other victims of the daycare hysteria were all released, most of them long ago? That includes just to cite a sample the Edenton 7 in North Carolina, whose plight was brilliantly set forth by Ofra Bikel on PBS; the Amiraults in Massachusetts, for whose defense, in the pages of The Wall Street Journal, Dorothy Rabinowitz won a Pulitzer; Kelly Michaels, the young aspiring actress sentenced to 47 years for supposedly sexually molesting virtually all the three- to five-year-old children at Wee Care Day Nursery in New Jersey; and the 43 adults charged with close to 30,000 crimes against young children in Wenatchee, Washington. Sometimes justice was wickedly slow, as in the case of Fran and Dan Keller, who served 21 years in prison before they were finally released in 2013 and their conviction set aside.

How about the sickening pandering by McDonald’s which lists Thugvon Martin on it’s home page “victim list”
George Z should sue the bastards for slander
Oh and “Michael Brown” was also listed
Ex Officer Darren Wilson, sue weak knees McD too
Samuel Johnson wrote advide to writers. When you think you have written something particularly fine, strike it out.
Sorting out the actual issue - someone is languishing in prison for a crime that we now know never happened - is buried under the high-falutin writing in this article.
As much as I detest Sean Penn, he did produce a documentary on the system abuse suffered by some Kali couples that got caught up in that late 1970s/early 1980s plethora of false charges.
Some times, it was out and out grandstanding - damn the evidence - by ADAs looking for publicity to advance their political careers. Aided and abetted by corrupt judges.
Pretty sure Zimmerman can’t sue them unless they actually say something about HIM. He’s got no standing to sue for misrepresenting Trayvon as a “victim”.
You think mentioning the case in the 2nd sentence and the guys’ name in the 4th sentence is “burying” that information?
“Aided and abetted by corrupt judges.”
Also aided and abetted by a public demanding blood, don’t forget that. None of these moral panics can happen without public support.
In fact, I’ve encountered quite a few posters right here on this forum that still support those prosecutions and believe that all those people were guilty.
Good writing would state the case in the 1st sentance instead of going on about Atticus Finch who is not the subject of this article.

Interesting. Didnt know Janet Reno (May the bitch burn in hell) was involved in some of these mass hysteria trials. I shouldnt be surprised. I posted on her obituary page at the funeral home. My post in honor of the 21 children (several by fire abortion) was rejected.
Why wouldnt that be defamaTory to him?
Implies he was the bad guy when both Jury and the facts show otherwise
