***Original post***
The jobs numbers for June are in and they've blown way past expectations with 4.8 million positions created.
"Total nonfarm payroll employment rose by 4.8 million in June, and the unemployment rate declined to 11.1 percent, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. These improvements in the labor market reflected the continued resumption of economic activity that had been curtailed in March and April due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and efforts to contain it. In June, employment in leisure and hospitality rose sharply. Notable job gains also occurred in retail trade, education and health services, other services, manufacturing, and professional and business services," the Labor Department released Thursday morning.

Check out how Morning Joe's graphic rounds up the 2.9 million estimated new jobs to 3 in what can only be viewed as an effort to put a damper on the Great American Comeback going on under @realDonaldTrump.
The BIG NEWS: 4.8 MILLION jobs added in June.
Smashing expectations. https://t.co/Bv3d9aX1r4— Steve Guest (@SteveGuest) July 2, 2020

The numbers come while governors across the country reinstitute shutdown orders as Wuhan coronavirus cases increase. Many businesses are refusing to shut down again, citing arbitrary reasons given by the government.
Praise God from Whom all blessings flow.
This is proof that obamas economy is kicking into high gear and stuff.
Are these 4 million new jobs or just 4 million people going back to jobs they used to have before the lockdown?
We are seeing excellent news as America continues to reopen.
I can’t wait to see how MSNBC and the other alphabet networks spin this as somehow bad news for Trump.
I believe nothing from anyone.
June 2020 Jobs Numbers Blow Past Expectations; 4.8 million positions created.
60% better than “expected”......Go figure.
“Are these 4 million new jobs or just 4 million people going back to jobs they used to have before the lockdown?”
It doesn’t much matter. The result is still the same.
Expect the number of Wuhan Flu cases to rise dramatically this 4th of July weekend due to this great news. The Deep State always responds in negative tones when there is any good news that will reflect well on the president!
A laid off employee returning to work is good, but its not a created job
Twitter should remove this, it’s going to helo Trump!
Thanks a lot. My sarcasm meter just overloaded and caught fire. My idiocy meter is a clump of melted slag from the MSM and the DNC saying the same thing.
An hr after the jobs report came this...The major averages, however, cut their gains after Reuters reported a one-day spike of more than 10,000 coronavirus cases in Florida.
What is a “coronavirus case”? What does that mean?
The job openings in N. California and health care jobs back in NJ are getting competitive re hiring good young people.
One of our grandkids was in his first year of engineering when the Covid BS hit, and besides having to come home, his summer job as an intern was gone. Then the company who told him no, after Memorial day, offered him a 40 hour job, with full pay as a new internship. They also, buy him lunch and give him a BART card for transportation. A discount clothing store where he and his older sister worked at during the summers and vacations, hired him for the month of June (he restocks in the morning before they open.
His sister had to come home early in her nursing degree pursuit due to the Covid BS. She was asked to participate in a job interview where she was interviewed and a nursing asst. She was offered the first job and 2 others. She took a 36 hour (full time job) as a Nursing asst in a critical care unit that will start next week) back on the east coast. They have offered her a part time job when she returns back to school for the fall term.
We order our groceries online and pick them up at Walmart or Nob Hill. The young people, who were hired to bring your groceries from the store and put them in the car have been hired by people impressed with them.
Also, a couple of older women in their 40’s, who lost their jobs have been either rehired by their former companies or by competitors.
Before the hiring of these people, mostly women from Walmart or Nob Hill, we were impressed with them how they handled themselves and situations.
My wife and her best friend had told these workers that someone would hire them after seeing them work and talking to them.
Cue the negative nay birds re these positive signs about our economy.
There is politicians ..and then there is the rest of us..who actually do the work.
It doesnt much matter. The result is still the same.
Thanks for posting this reality versus the usual negative bs!
The AP is reporting that, in spite of the numbers, the job market is already faltering due to the second round of the Coronavirus.
Those a**holes couldnt finish the first sentence of their report without including that negative spin.
The your screen name and your question deserve each other.
Do you really need an answer?
If you are serious, it means that 4.8 million people, that were not working in May began to work in June.
