For what it’s worth, Virginia Democrats intend to reduce the penalty for assaulting first responders to a misdemeanor.

“At this point, it is not known who attacked first responders and what their motive was. Friends and family of the crash victim, who has yet to be identified by police but was referred to by family as “C.J.,” didn’t provide any additional information about the incident other than to say that some family members on the scene were “extremely upset” in the immediate aftermath of the crash.”

Sort of similar story-
At least 20 years ago, there was a popular swimming hole in Georgia. One holiday there was a big family there (Democrats, I assume), and they were drinking and partying and NOT supervising their kids AT ALL! I don’t believe any of the kids or adults even knew how to swim.
Well, one of the kids drowned. A friend who was an EMT just happened to be there with her kids. She and some others tried save the child with CPR and were treated very similarly as the first responders in this story, especially after they were unsuccessful at reviving the child. They were treated as if it was THEIR fault the drowning happened and there were threats made. Police had to intervene.
Just crazy!
