According to a document shared by multiple local reporters and retweeted by the Virginia Senate Democrats, the proposals include downgrading the charge of assault on a police officer from a felony to a misdemeanor.
“The Senate Democratic Caucus has led and is continuing to conduct a series of community conversations to discuss these issues and we have heard from the public that now is not the time for studies or delay and that changes must be made during our Special Session,” says the document, which is titled, "Senate Democratic Caucus Police Reform and Criminal Justice Equity Plan."
The proposals also call for canceling supplemental funding to local police departments if they have had “disproportionate use of force incidents in their jurisdiction.” It is unclear if funding would be stripped automatically, or if the departments would have an opportunity to handle incidents internally first.

All of their policy proposals are intended to increase the chaos: Defund the police, lessen charge for assaulting police officer, elimination of bail, dropping charges for protestors violating the law, etc.

But no more. With regards to retirement, will the cop live to age 55? Will the cop be in good enough physical condition to enjoy retiring at 55? Or will the cop make it to 55 without quitting.
I do see some good in this, which is when the left finally forces CWII on the nation, the cops will be on our side. They will be trained and highly experienced. They would fill leadership and training positions. They should also be aware of leftist hiding places and who within the left leadership are the true villains and who are the flunkies.

Why should they go out and put their lives on the line if an assault on a police officer is going to garner less of a criminal charge than assault on a civilian? These people are f’in morons.
