God idea. Start it up
Why does Trump even use that song in the first place? It is not a good campaign rally song in any objective measure.
To me the UK and the Queen should be quite upset at this petulant tantrum. The Stones simply cannot be affected in any negative way by Trump using their song. Agree with him or not the Stones should be honored a President Of The United States has chosen one of their songs as a theme to his addresses. Shame on them.
They have Sympathy for the De-moncrat.
That joke writes itself.
Doesn’t the copyright run out on these old songs?
Or Paint it Black.
What’s the difference between Mick Jagger and a Scotsman?
Doesnt the copyright run out on these old songs?

Every time it comes close to running out, the music industry shovels money toward our beloved politicians, who immediately re-write the laws to extend copyright.
Amazing how that works.
50 years after the death of the artist.

Whats the difference between Mick Jagger and a Scotsman?

Hmm. Let’s see. Mick Jagger is a gross, untalented old faggot. A Scotsman is... hmm. I dunno. What IS the difference between Mick Jagger and a Scotsman?
Scotsmen wear kilts and play bagpipes, and Mick Jagger does neither?
As a matter of principle he should keep playing it, but I would prefer he use a medley of patriotic songs like “God bless America”, “America The Beautiful”, “My Country Tis of Thee”, and the like.
Now do Under My Thumb.
LOL!
Or “Some Girls”...
Why does he use that song? I dont even understand the context.
Maybe he should play Brown Sugar.
Let them defend that.
Ooooh, its only Sunday and we already have Post of the Week!!!!
Just the fading Stones getting some free publicity. Pick a fight with the Man to show you are down with the struggle.
Not for “commercial” purposes. For example, if you own a restaurant and you want to play “classic hits” as background music, you have to have a licensing agreement with BMI or ASCAP. (I think there is a third clearinghouse now.)
The question, then, is: does a political rally constitute a “commercial” use, and, if so, did the White House have a license?
