This Madison event needs to be pushed out there at every opportunity. This isnt about a few Confederate generals, this is an active attempt to erase that past in preparation for a grand collectivist future. Its what they do, historically.

That includes the Confederates.

Unfortunately he had owned a slave - so off with his head!
He also freed that slave.
When he managed his father in laws farm, he worked in the fields next to the slaves.
He was also known to not be able to get the slaves to work because he was too soft.
You don’t have to explain it to me; I was just explaining why his statue came down.
My town still has its Columbus statue; I suspect if it comes down they’ll never sell another home there to a White person.

Do these socialist and cultural equalitarians think that the western hemisphere would remain undiscovered by Europeans forever?
The people of the west were stone age people with the exceptions of gold and perhaps silver the Indians were totally unfamiliar with working metal. This meant that when the Europeans arrived, they were no match for the Europeans unless they were to meet them in battle en mass.
Columbus did not enslave the native peoples, he did not murder them, he did not intentionally spread disease among the natives. Europeans did not at the time have any idea how disease was spread.
Columbus set rules against his crews taking advantage of the natives.
Did everything go just as Columbus intended? Certainly no, but he did as best he could under the circumstances.
And since with these Leftist, intensions are more important than deeds, Columbus should be a saint.
