It's time to stop the anarchy. And Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) believes one way to do that is to threaten to withhold funds from any cities or states that continue to let rioters rule the streets.
The Ending Taxpayer Funding of Anarchy Act is pretty self-explanatory.
"For fiscal year 2021, and each fiscal year thereafter, a State or political subdivision of a State that is an anarchist jurisdiction at any time during a fiscal year may not receive Federal financial assistance from an executive agency during that fiscal year," the bill reads.
Anarchy cannot continue on our streets," Sen. Ernst said in a statement on Thursday. "If city officials or state leaders fail to do their job and protect their citizens, the federal government American taxpayers arent going to pay for it. Local officials are letting chaos continue in their streets, and in some cases, preventing law enforcement from protecting the public. Thats not the America I know or fought for. This bill is straight forward and holds local leaders accountable to the people.
Republican Rep. Dan Bishop of North Carolina introduced a similar bill on Monday, called the CHOPing Cash for CHAZ Act of 2020.

The next liberal judge in line who will simply issue an injunction. It will take years to get to the SC, and Roberts will point out that it’s just a tax, or and this is an easy one - you didn’t follow the APA.
Even if it passed, we know how the Dem governors and mayors would define “anarchist jurisdiction.” CHAZCHOP is well organized and governed; it isn’t anarchist. Besides, those are all protestors, not “anarchists.” There ARE NO anarchists in the USA. Without anarchists, how can you have an “anarchist jurisdiction”?
LOL! By the way. You’ll have to turn in your screen name.
Pretty sure we know these bills were never meant to go anywhere. It looks good on campaign ads and that’s about it.

“Pretty sure we know these bills were never meant to go anywhere”
Anyway, we have only pinpricks of anarchy that are amplified by the media. Just enough to give the anarchists and their supporters a bad name.
I apologize to humanity for the poor taste in picking it. I thought AJ was a famous populist. It didn’t dawn on my that he was a slave owning racist.
If he was white, he was racist. Systemically of course. Secret handshakes and code words. wink wink.
And how do you define it? Say some students at University of Iowa or Iowa State seized a building on campus and held it for a day or two. Does that mean Iowa loses all funding for the state?
The headline is as far is it will go. Won’t make it out of the Senate and if it does will never see the light of day in the House.
The only thing that will end the anarchy in the streets is getting Trump out of office. Because the mobs are acting on orders of the DNC, and once Trump loses, they’ll ‘call off the dogs’.
That was the whole problem with Trump’s “Let it Burn” approach. Now people know the only way it will end is if Trump is gone, because Trump seems to be unwilling to stop it on his own.
No federal bailouts for cities that defund, disband or emasculated police departments! That’s what these mayors are counting on - to step up to federal trough and super-size their government handout.
And the ironic reference white racist sign of fist bumping. All the hip racists do it.
I like the strategy even if it doesn’t fly, keep reinforcing that the chaos is up to the Democrat mayors and Governors to control.
Wouldn’t it have been nice if Republicans had taken up stuff like this while they were still in the majority?
Repukes don’t want to be the majority. Most just want to serve as the “conservative” wing of the Uniparty, to give the illusion of choice.
