IMO this is really bad for him because our current FBI, and its anti American, anti white supremacy agenda, couldn’t find any evidence this was real. The FBI has an interest in actually finding evidence of a hate crime here, because it would bolster Wray’s claim that white people are the biggest threat to the country. The fact that they closed this case in 2 days tells me that this was a bigger lie than Smollet. It was such a big obvious lie that not even the FBI could spin it in Wallace’s favor!

Bill Clinton sent the FBI on a goose chase in the late 1990s researching Bill’s claims that there was a rash of racist church fires in the South (there wasn’t). This at the time the 9-11 hijackers were in the US training for their terrorist attack.
