I never heard that Eisenhower had any black ancestry before. His mother’s maiden name was Stover and she was born in Virginia. His appearance was not like that of someone with 25% African ancestry.

No look at the numbers. Rasmussen last week Trump approval from African Americans has never been higher- 40% approve and 26% approve very highly.

Eisenhower’s maternal grandmother was Elizabeth Ida Juda Link. She lost her parents when she was six and was raised by a white family. If you look closely at President Eisenhower you will see the somewhat broader features of a black person. There were issues raised about race during his campaign.
The black community was prospering during the 50s with more black small businesses. When LBJ got in he had to stop this success in the black community, thus the Great Society that destroyed the black families by driving out the fathers.
Maybe the minorities ought to reconsider voting for dems. Dems were the party of lynchings and the KKK and white supremecy. The dems voted against allowing blacks to vote and making them citizens. yep. 38 percent of this country will vote by party NO MATTER HOW AWFUL they are. But we have to keep trying. And they are. I commend them.

This is the message we need to keep putting out there. That many of these statues are of men who were Democratic racists.
The thugs in charge timed this very badly. The “fun” of looting will be long gone, and the pain of no longer having a business district will still be fresh. I imagine this will give Trump a small bump with urban voters.
