A Harvard team did a satellite image study of daily travel in Wuhan. They concluded that COVID-19 may have started as far back as August or September of 2019.
If you look at the daily new cases charts from around the world you see sharp rises in cases from the time testing came online in March. Then these rises peak in a more flattened line.
The initial steep rises can be explained by the rises in testing. If you extend the later more-flattened lines back in time they don’t point at zero in January or February of 2020. They point Back to a zero point in the fall of 2019 or earlier.

I was down in Florida for two weeks - Orlando, St Augustine, Jacksonville, etc.
Had many of the same symptoms except my cough was phlegmy. It wasn’t a dry one. Had a temp that was about 102.6 for several days. It went up and down a bit as I took Tylenol. Felt a bit achy but mostly run down and tired.
Yeah, it could have been a weird cold or upper respiratory infection. I could have run into someone who was sick while in Florida.
Not sure either way.

Protests started in Hong Kong and Wuhan in June/July 2019(supposedly unrelated)and continued until WuFlu showed up. Any chance this skewed their study?

I travelled to Dallas/Ft.Worth in the 3rd week of December. Two days after I returned I was hit with the worst Flu-like respiratory infection of my life. I couldn’t breath laying down and almost went to the ER. I slept sitting up for 5 days, it took me 5 or 6 weeks to fully recover. I went to my doctor’s office in the first week, tested negative for the flu and strep, I have not yet been tested for covid-19 anti-bodies.
What you describe is how I was for at least a month in February through March. The breathing was so bad and I could barely make it from room to room. Never got tested or go to the doctor.

I had been through LAX for Christmas in LA and then flew to Belgium where I got sick before New Year’s. Sore throat, fever, aches and pains. But it only lasted a day. It was followed by a three month cough. I ate Wuhan fried rice at a Chinese restaurant called Mao’s kitchen in Venice CA. Covid!
