Fox News’ Chris Wallace warned that President Donald Trump risks being “left behind” unless he conforms to the cultural shift going on in the nation.
The frequent Trump critic spewed his narrative in a discussion with Fox News colleague Bill Hemmer on Friday as he cited the latest examples of woke apologies being made in society, notably in liberal strongholds of culture. Wallace expressed his agreement with a Wall Street Journal column from Kimberly Strassel titled, “Trump Is Beating Trump.”
“Biden wants to make the race a referendum. The president needs to make it a choice,” the op-ed read, arguing that Trump is giving critics more ammunition to use against him.
“You’ve got this major cultural shift,” Wallace told Hemmer on “Bill Hemmer Reports”
“We don’t know how long it will last, but when you see the NFL, Roger Goodell, flipping on kneeling during the national anthem, more remarkably when you see NASCAR with its roots in the South banning the confederate flag, they think that there’s a real cultural shift going on,” the “Fox News Sunday” anchor added, referring to recent decisions in the sports world.
National Football League commissioner Roger Goodell announced to the league’s 32 teams that the NFL offices will close on “Juneteenth” in order to “reflect on our past, but more importantly, consider how each one of us can continue to show up and band together to work toward a better future.”
Earlier this week, NASCAR made a stunning announcement banning Confederate flags from any of its events, saying in a statement that the presence of the flags “runs contrary to our commitment to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all fans, our competitors and our industry.”
Grammy Award-winning Lady Antebellum issued an apology for the slavery connotations associated with its name and officially morphed into Lady A. Other woke celebrities also launched a video effort to declare they “take responsibility” for systemic racism.
Wallace believed that Trump is hurting himself and his reelection chances by ignoring the spiraling political correctness.
“What Kim Strassel was saying — and I agree with her— is that the president doesn’t seem to be reacting to that cultural shift and runs the risk of being left behind and that would be a bad place to be when you’re running for reelection,” he told Hemmer.

Oh, there’s a major “cultural shift” coming. The shift will be soft suburban Republicans coming back to the fold over this craziness. Just like the Kavanaugh hearings. Suburban women, etc. are looking at their worst nightmare. Their kids put something stupid up on Instagram and will forever be branded a racist, sexist or whatever. Suburbanites losing their jobs b/c their opinions aren’t PC. The savagery they are witnessing with these riots.

It is definitely NOT a grassroots cultural shift and it is a cultural shift only in the same sense that Hillery was suppose to win last time and left the talking heads aghast, or in other words, it is media hype and propaganda.
If the citizens of this country want to follow the lead of looters and rioters like Wallace and his ilk love to do, then it would be a cultural shift in the truest sense of the word. But that won’t happen, is not happening.

This “shift” was manufactured. It’s phony. The impact on the police and the public is real, however. We will be less safe as a result of this manufactured hysteria.
