A Look Back At November 2016: Here’s how Seattle voters’ support for Trump compared to other cities’

Seattle voters really didn’t want a Trump presidency, election results show.

Just 8 percent of the city’s votes (counted by Election Day) were cast for President-elect Donald Trump — that’s the lowest percentage compared to other big, Clinton-loving cities outside of Detroit and Washington, D.C.

Here’s how we stack up:

Where are Seattle’s Trump supporters? Seattle Times columnist Danny Westneat, with help from reporter Justin Mayo, broke down results from the city’s precincts.

Only two precincts cast zero votes for Trump. One of them, in Wallingford, voted 153-0, according to early vote totals.

And just one precinct, located at Duwamish Head in West Seattle, among the condos on Alki Beach, voted in the triple digits for Trump, at 130 votes, to Clinton’s 353.

“Seattle
Trump, 8 percent
Clinton, 87 percent”

That’s why Im ALL for making these leftard Seattle losers miserable as much as they can. Another note: 23% in L.A. is HIGH, but it doesnt surprise me as I meet closet Trump supporters here every week.

Fewer than 25% of the residents of Berlin supported Hitler, but they suffered more than almost any other German city form the consequences of the Third Reich.

RE: Fewer than 25% of the residents of Berlin supported Hitler

So, what did the other 75% do?

It’s always seemed to make sense to move away from where life is difficult, to where life is easy and works well for them. Just complaining and trying to change “what is” has never been a winning strategy. You have to accept what you can change and what you can’t, and know the difference. Obviously we’ve come to a point in time in which the old big cities are no longer viable — and much more attractive options exist in the second- and third-tier cities, which are ripe for their moment in the sun. That’s how civilizations and societies rise and fall, and why Babylon is no longer the greatest city in the world.

That same story is also being revealed in San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, and the formerly attractive cities on the West Coast. The East Coast cities were in obvious decline as early as the ‘70s. And then there were the Detroits, Clevelands, Flints, in the old Midwest that never learned to handle success well — while the Nebraskas, Dakotas, and Iowa are now emerging as the leaders of 21st century life — because of the Costcos, Amazon, Dollar Trees, etc.

And then if one needs to see other places, YouTube videos are better than actually being there — because the guides are better than one could explore on one’s own. That is the purpose of traveling the world — to check out where life might be more feasible and viable — and not just to check off one’s bucket list of things one should do that everybody else has done. Much more meaningful, is to discover the “new world” one has not considered even possible before — despite the preconceived notions of how life should be, and climb that ladder as though there was no other.

People haven’t thought like that in quite a while, but the case for reconsidering and reinventing their own lives, have never been more propitious and apt. You don’t have to live where people are pooping on one’s doorstep and all the way to the office — or any other place one has to be. Life can be better elsewhere — and these YouTube videos are a great tool for discovering and getting there. We don’t need one more shot of the Mona Lisa. Quality of life is the total context, and not just how much money one can make while being miserable. The whole life matters.

Washington D.C.

Trump, 4 percent

Clinton, 90.5 percent

This is the biggest, most dire problem area in the list.

RE: Cheered for Jesse Owens.

That’s it? Cheered for a black athlete but did not nothing to stop their leader from invading neighboring countries or killing Jews?

If you have the Mayor of Washington DC spending city money to paint this, you know that the city is a lost cause:

Some Germans resisted Hitler, and paid with their lives. The point is that Berlin was the among the least Nazified cities in Germany, and among one of the cities that paid the highest price. The only Massachusetts Democrat I ever voted for was John Silber, but I’s still stuck with these clowns.

You know that this will now be a permanent fixture/attraction in DC, because to remove it would be “racist”.

As a percentage of eligible voters, Hillary probably got over 100%, which is better than Casto and Kim Jong-il.

Because crimes committed in the District are tried in the District. Dems will get off and Republicans will be convicted.

Kept their heads down and tried to survive after the Gestapo took their guns and their government got them into a war. Later, they tried to hide their daughters so that the daughters would not get raped by Russian troops.
