Demonstrators in Nashville, Tennessee and Asheville, North Carolina have attempted to emulate protesters in Seattle by establishing police-free 'autonomous zones' protected by barricades, as police union officials in Seattle warn that their city is on the verge of 'lawlessness'.
The efforts in Tennessee and North Carolina were met with a strong response from local authorities, in contrast to Seattle where demonstrators in the 'CHAZ' have taken control of a police precinct and remain manning the barricades armed after five days.
In Asheville, activists say that about 100 people gathered Friday night on Lexington Avenue under the Interstate 280 overpass, where they attempted to block the street with barricades and take control of the area.
Police responded in force and tore down the barricades, video from the scene shows. Demonstrators issued a cry for reinforcements on social media and vowed to return on Saturday.
'People are needed now! Please share this if you can't be here. Supplies also needed,' one organizer posted on Twitter.

As of 10:30 tonight, there was no strong response in Nashville - no response at all - and with our wimpy governor, I really don’t expect much. As soon as the first tent was set up, they should have been made to leave.

Unfortunately, North Carolina is no longer a conservative state and Asheville is not a conservative area.
I have a niece living there. 30 something. I pray she is not caught up in all of this nonsense.

See this why I never thought that was funny in Seattle. I knew it was going to start to try to spread to other places. Federal funds have to gebe cut off to any state that allows us to happen

NC is a VERY conservative state. But I'm not sure if we just can't out vote the population centers or if the conservative population is apathetic. I've lived here most of my life in and around the Triad area. Once ya get outta town there not much question about the leanings of the general public. The Asheville area is a little Seattle in the mountains. But at least the PD doesn't seem interested in playing along with the lil commies right now.

I’ve lived in NC all my life...in Wake County.
NC had a series of Democrat governors and the latest one was elected through voter fraud (primarily in Durham).
Wake County (Raleigh), Mecklenburg County (Charlotte), and Durham County (Durham) have been taken over by liberals, I am afraid.
Yes Asheville is a little Seattle. What a shame for a beautiful location.
This November we have a chance to replace the Demonazi Cooper with Dan Forest, an outstanding Republican (Lt. Governor). If we can do that, I will agree with you about NC being a conservative state still. It once was despite the Demonrat Governors in its history.
When the cities are lost, the state is lost. The governor placed national political attempt to destroy the President over the businesses in Charlotte
North Carolina is not now a conservative state. NC is being Africanized at a rapid rate
One reason the Asheville crowd has failed to conquer is most of their radicals went to other cities to participate in rioting two weeks ago.

I've always been for awarding Electoral College votes by Congressional Districts in order to weaken the Metro vote. Now I'm at the stage that each county should have one vote in any statewide passage of laws.
Case in point, look at Nevada when they voted for universal background checks/registration.
