Politicians tell Trump to go back to the bunker after his threat to ‘take back’ Seattle
HuffPost ^ | Jun 11th 2020 | ED MAZZA

President Trump threatened to “take back” Seattle from protesters, tweeting that “ugly anarchists must be stooped.”

In response, state and local politicians told him to go back to his bunker beneath the White House; and keep out of local business.

Earlier this week, Seattle police left the area and demonstrators took over, cordoning off several blocks they declared the “Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone”, now the site of peaceful protests.

Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan said the police pullback was done “to proactively de-escalate interactions between protestors and law enforcement.” But Trump was unhappy with the move even though it at least temporarily worked.

Donald Trump

Radical Left Governor JayInslee and the Mayor of Seattle are being taunted and played at a level that our great Country has never seen before. Take back your city NOW. If you don’t do it, I will. This is not a game. These ugly Anarchists must be stooped IMMEDIATELY. MOVE FAST!

Donald J. Trump

Domestic Terrorists have taken over Seattle, run by Radical Left Democrats, of course. LAW & ORDER!

Durkan fired back by referring to the White House bunker Trump was rushed to as demonstrations broke out in D.C.:

Mayor Jenny Durkan

Make us all safe. Go back to your bunker.

Rep. Pramila Jayapal, who represents Seattle in Congress, also made a reference to the bunker incident:

Rep. Pramila Jayapal

Don’t you have a bunker to be in?

Washington Gov. Jay Inslee also told the president to butt out:

Jay Inslee

A man who is totally incapable of governing should stay out of Washington state’s business. “Stoop” tweeting.

But Trump kind of backed himself into a corner here.

“Trump should stop tweeting threats he can’t back up.”

Oh PLEASE, it’s called trolling. He doesn’t intend to send the boys there - in fact, they longer they stay and the more they expand what they’re doing, the better for him. He said what he did PRECISELY to keep the situation festering, until November, if possible.

Agree. When the shtf he’s gonna point out how inept, arrogant and ignorant the Dems are. Just hope no innocents suffer any physical harm.

There have been plenty of examples of various media portraying a breakdown of society.

They are entertainment.

The reality of lawlessness is horrifying.

We live in a competitive world.

Other nations and organizations will fund actions like this in the hope that American companies will be at a disadvantage because of the lawlessness.

It’s always about money.

I don’t agree. This has nothing to do with Trump. Even the political whores at the MSM can’t spin that. Let Inslee and WA leftists twist in the wind for a while. Its their state, push them to solve it.

My one concern - these ANTIFA are now armed. There will be at least a few who want to be leftist heroes and go out in a blaze of glory. I can’t see how bloodshed can be avoided.

"Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan said the police pullback was done “'to proactively de-escalate interactions between protestors and law enforcement.'”

What a trainload of steaming equine excrement this statement is. Mayor DurkaDurka just surrendered an entire community and its residents to lawless anarchy. And this is exactly the scenario that she wanted to see.

The Seattle City Council is hellbent on turning the place in to a liberal-utopian third-world lawless shithole. And if the citizens don't fight back against this crap, then that is exactly what Seattle will become.

Been a Freeper since ‘98. I don’t have any “antifa” pals thank you. I’m a keen political observer and ardent Trump supporter and I’m thinking he needs to do more than tweeting. I know he will figure things out but right now he seems to be losing the daily messaging battle. The one bright spot is Kayley.

Take back Seattle. If this isn’t insurrection, I don’t know what is.

“Trump should stop making threats he can’t back up”

From a previous post.

This is a Federal issue. There are citizens who have been confined against their will by an outside force.

“The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.”

— US Constitution, Article IV, Section 4.

This occupation is going to spread to other big blue cities. The mayors of those cities should be asked what they will do when that happens.

I predict that by Saturday evening more autonomous zones will be established in NY and Chirac.

Not only is it not just ‘local business’, as I understand it, the bunker is a fully equipped command and control site.

This is insurrection and a national security threat and it can be taken care of by the CinC from any of several locations.

Not picking on your post, specifically. I was thinking about this and just waiting for the next post that included the *bunker* jibe.

But, to stay relevant: I never even thought of attacks on Boeing.

Maybe he should relocate to Cheyenne Mountain. Now, there’s a bunker.

I doubt this group has the dedication and sheer guts the Red Army Faction did. But, you have a point, as the Red Army Faction went through at least 3 generations.

I think they had to set up a special maximum security prison for them in Germany. That’s where the ones that were captured died, after long trials.
