Just goes to show that the left isn’t interested in science. They’re interested in promoting an agenda using science as a weapon.

Learning or at least the effort to learn is racist!

There is systemic racism in STEM. If you’re white and male, you’d better be good, because women of all races, blacks/hispanics, and Indian/Chinese H1-B’s all have hiring bias in their favor.

Reporting based on one my son’s first six or eight career years. He’s real smart, but he had to fight his way through a lot of crap to rise over that layer of new to three year hiring bias.

Lysenko lives! Who are these “scientists”? Who would ever trust them or their work?

there are none

the blacks i went to engineering with were very few and far between, but the ones that were there wanted to be there and for the most part wanted to work and study

stem is colorblind and gnederblind

your equations don’t care what you are, they care you get the right answer and understand advanced concepts

I’m in the lab right now. Keep in mind that, unlike engineering, there is no licensing for ‘scientist.’ Anybody can claim to be one.

This is insane.

Every company I have worked for over the past 20 years or so would hire even marginally qualified blacks at the drop of a hat. There just aren’t a whole lot of black folk applying for IT jobs.

Real science has no bias, but the leftist crap they call science now should be shut down.

After 40 years in the electronics field, I can tell you people get promotions based on race.
Chinese hire Chinese, Indian hire Indian and White Americans are forced out.

Its been this way for 30 years.
Stand outside any corporate headquarters in Silicon Valley around noon and you will see 10 Indians for every American.

Why is there so much racism in Academia? Who’s been running that institution over the decades?

A one day strike is a joke anyway, just putting off until tomorrow something you were going to do today. Idiotic virtue signalling. For scientists they aren’t very bright.

I have a Ph.D. in a hard science, and had two dozen or so publications in excellent journals, along with extensive teaching experience in graduate school. After a two-day interview at a college, the dean told me that I was not really being considered because they were planning to hire a minority or female. (Presumably, they invited me to meet a minimum requirement for the number of interviews.) This was over 25 years ago, so things haven’t changed. I could have easily found a position at another college, but it was clear that I was not welcome in academia because of my sex and race, so I capitalized on my software development skills and adapted. To all who still refer to my “white privilege,” phu kew and phu cough.

Unless you have seen the engineering students and faculty blocking access to buildings and libraries to POC; you will never get it
