You all complain about social media being dominated by Liberalism, but how many of you post the FR news sources to your twitter or FB posts?

Despite the censorship efforts by Twitter, Facebook, Google etc, clever conservatives, must use them to get out their message. Love FR but for the most part its preaching to the choir. However its been shown that these posts are read by a wide variety of people ( even BLM, DNC, the MSM, Antifa, academics etc.) and subtly and overtly influences them.

It would be enlightening if FR gave a percentage of posts compared to the total hits on the site. Suspect that the number of posts is a tiny percentage of total hits.

Facebook has been accused of "enabling vicious Jewish hatred" after telling users an image depicting human remains on a shovel below the tag line "How to pick up Jewish chicks" did not breach its standards.

Just days after back flipping on its decision to censor an iconic Vietnam War photo of a naked girl escaping a napalm bombing, the social media giant is again under fire over its handling of posts reported as offensive.

In reply to complaints about the shovel image - which was widely shared, "liked" 21,000 times, and received more than 37,000 comments - Facebook said: "We reviewed the post you reported for displaying hate speech and found it doesn't violate our community standards."

Under its community standards policy, Facebook says it "removes hate speech" that attacks people based on their race, ethnicity, national origin and religious affiliation.

"We allow humor, satire or social commentary related to these topics, and we believe that when people use their authentic identity, they are more responsible when they share this kind of commentary," the policy says.

The image was posted to a page attributed to a Queensland man late last month and shared 2280 times. It has now been removed but tens of thousands of comments, many of which are anti-Semitic, were still visible in the thread as late as Thursday.

A Facebook spokesman said the image was removed for breaching community standards and that the company was still investigating.

But 24 hours after being asked, the spokesman could still not say when the photo was taken down. Facebook could also not explain why only the photo was initially removed and not the entire thread - which is standard when a post is pulled.

Other than my wife using it to communicate with our Navy Seal son when he gets a chance to communicate, we, rather I, do NOT use FB whatsoever. I want to be censored I’ll just stick to YouTube or some such garbage....

2. Twitter feed is for business only (except for a very few Orthodox Christian likes and retweets). It has become next to useless, since Twitter prefers politics! (LinkedIn is much better.)

I would think most FReepers are not giving their “friends and interests” to Facistbook (along with facial recognition data) and Twatter.

I would think most people on Facistbook and Twatter avoid politics, as things get teal nasty real fast at those sites.

I don’t do any of the social media - not Facebook, Twiter, Snapchat, etc. They started out as a good way to communicate but have devolved into a propaganda media. However, my wife still is devoted to FB, even though she is conservative. go figure that.

I do. I post to FB the links a FreeRepublic member puts in a new post they make. I usually add my own comments as well. I post them to the public not just “friends”.

But I have learned, posting to the public in FB does not mean they reach “the public”, because (a) FB policies that determine what it puts in the category “Top Stories” versus “Most Recent” in your TimeLine/NewsFeed, (b) and unless something shows on your TimeLine or you have set up to be notified of FB posts by someone(or some group) then you do not know of something that was posted to the public.

The best way to reach “the public” on FB is to join FB groups/pages, or participate in comments on FB groups/pages that are open to comments without becoming a member of the group/page. That reaches more of “the public” than a mere post to your own FB page which is at most often only seen by your FB “friends” who have chosen to be notified of your posts.

I have sent links to FR posts to my conservative friends and mentioned FR to others. I have never heard back from them a thank you. Mostly I get the sense that they're never gonna go to that right wing site again.

So called conservatives have been so beaten down here in california that they think McCain was a decent guy. Truly sad.
