An idea is percolating in the hive mind of social media wokeness.
"Defund the police," says former Obama Justice Department spokesman Brian Fallon. "Disband [the police] and reimagine public safety," says Rep. Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.). "Abolish the police," say all the wokest libs.
It is only a matter of time before America's largest corporations start lining up to express their performative allegiance to the cause.

So the wokeness of the corporate elites and he political class that have paid private armed security is fine, those in the streets are f####. Ok sounds good lets go with it
The desire a Soviet style system where they can be bigwigs by becoming an arm of the Party.
I bet the corporate elites would tire of wokeness after they get hit with bricks and their houses get burned down. They should expect to be destroyed if they have their own private National Guard.
This might be an opportunity -
Ilhan effectively wants privatized police forces.
Let’s build on that and reimagine healthcare with the same privatization in mind.
Same with schools.
When the community drops the police, the public healthcare, and the schools, my guess is the tax extraction will NOT decrease. /s
It’s already happening, I went online to pay my credit card this morning, and I had a greeting from Jamie Dimon of JP Morgan Chase about the evils of systemic racism. Expect a lot more of this.

Instead of ordering it from Amazon I’m likely going to order it from B & H.
What you're seeing here is the same old corporate strategy of jumping from one bandwagon to another, depending on the story or issue of the day. This is to be expected in an age of mass-marketing, where most major companies are selling to customers all the way down to welfare cases who aren't even capable of managing a checkbook.
This is why they go from patriotic themes after 9/11 to "#EverywhereUSA-Strong" after a major hurricane to "We're In This Together" ads showing silly, pathetic people simpering at home with masks on their faces during the COVID-19 fiasco.
It's only a matter of time before Roger Goodell shows up at an NFL press conference with gold teeth, his hair in cornrows, and about 15 pounds of fake gold chains hanging around his neck.
Considering those who are making the suggestions to “defund the police”, I may have a better solution. How about defunding Ilhan Omar & others like her who are making these absurd suggestions? It should be obvious what the immediate results would be if police departments were defunded, but if idiots making these absurd suggestions were defunded instead, the benefits might go on for a very long time.
