SIG Sauer, long the target of disarmament campaigners in Germany, announced Thursday it intended by year’s end to close its factory at Eckernförde near Kiel, capital of Germany’s northernmost state of Schleswig-Holstein.
It blamed “locational handicaps” hindering its diverse pistol and sports guns sales, claiming a “few other local producers” were preferred in government purchases for Germany’s police forces and Bundeswehr military.
Public broadcaster NDR quoted manager Tim Castagne as saying the workers’ council at the Eckernförde site, established in 1951, had been briefed about some 125 job losses as well plans to fulfil purchase orders.
”Due to its international orientation, SIG Sauer is systematically excluded from tenders [in Germany], said Castagne, intimating, said NDR, that most of its weapons were developed in the United States. …

I want a P365 XL but you can’t buy one in California, believe it or not. Very few Sig Sauer pistols are available for sale in California.

Totally made up statistic. I sincerely doubt there are comprehensive source/sources that breakdown what brand of weapon killed all those people. Sounds like a broad extrapolation of a small data set.

Had an acquaintance once that worked in the state bureau of vital statistics. Real Lib, I asked about an outrageous stat in the paper once and he said if it was a cause he was against he just made up stuff and gave it to the press on official letterhead. Derps have no shame.

Well, I was torn between the SS p320 and the S&W M&P Shield, so this clinches it.
You won’t be disappointed in the Sig P320. Definitely a modern design unlike few others, if any. I’ve put about 2,000 rounds through mine and it has been flawless. I love the 21 round magazines (17 is standard for the P320). It seems like ti shoots all day with those mags.
