USC has ended its relationship with a booster after she sent a series of tweets Sunday night promoting gun violence. In a statement on Monday afternoon, Trojans athletic director Mike Bohn said that he was made aware of "abhorrent and blatantly racist tweets from an individual who identified as a USC Football Booster."

That booster, Marla Brown, said multiple times on her now-deleted Twitter account that people protesting police brutality and George Floyd's murder in Los Angeles and Washington D.C. should be shot. On her Twitter bio, Brown identified as a LAPD union attorney. She clarified later that she had not held that job in some time.

"Thank you to the USC community for helping us identify this individual so that we could move to swiftly terminate our relationship," Bohn said. "We stand in solidarity with the Black community."

Ms. Brown did state that she made a mistake when she made those statements on her Twitter account...

USC has the right to ban people from football games for any reason...I don't dispute that...

I do have a problem with Director Bohn calling her "racist"...

She never mentioned race...If you do the image search, you could find out what she actually wrote...

She was just annoyed with looters in general...She did not state that she was annoyed with black looters...She also did not single out Hispanic looters...

I have seen looters on TV...Some are Hispanic...Some are black...Some are white...

I don't like it when people are called "racist" for no good reason...I think Director Bohn called her a "racist" for no good reason...

"We stand in solidarity with black community"...Isn't that pandering?

There are shops near USC...By the way, the neighborhood around school is not that great...Many thugs live near USC...

USC is lucky that no riot has broken out near the campus yet...

Oh, I see the narrative now. Defending oneself with a firearm against rioters/looters == “gun violence against protesters”.

USC, the same “school” that, under football coach Pete Carroll, hosted O.J. Simpson as a guest speaker to its “student athletes”... after the Juice murdered two people.

This lady’s problems are just beginning. She’ll be getting harassing phone calls at home and at work.

Moral of the story: Go ahead and use Twitter to share cake recipes. But say anything that is not PC at your own peril.

Seems like a large percent of non-black rioters are out there.

First chance in weeks to go out and “party” in a big crowd without the Covid Lockdown Nazis bothering them....

Again - this is more Marxist engineering.

If you speak out the political minders will hint you down.

This is what they did with prop 8 supporters after somebody “leaked” the donation list. Antifa systematically went down the list and called out their employers or anybody associated with these people and demanded they be fired or removed from any positions they held.

Christian bakers have to bake gay wedding cakes.

But the USC can ban someone for practicing their first amendment rights.

It is obvious that the left has an English problem. They do not know the difference between the words protester and looter. Or perhaps it is a law and order problem. Now I get it; the two are connected. If they cannot discern the meaning of one word from another, then it is not possible to discern lawful from unlawful, as our laws are written down for all to see and understand. New principle to live by: never have an expectation of lawfulness from someone incapable of speaking the American language.

Most of these rioters are domestic terrorists.

A few days ago on Twitter videos showing looting in Beverly Hills there were comments saying now is the time for the revolution. Lots of young communists are in our country.

Her mistake was saying that merely protesting police brutality and Flord’s murder should be shot.

Had she instead said “rioters” she still would have been pilloried, but would have had a leg to stand on.

Because you don’t think looters should be coddled, does make you a racist? No it doesn’t. Bohn is Mr. PC and has gotten off to a rocky start as AD. Since when is wanting law and order racist?

Guys gotta say that. USC main campus is very close to areas of lower socioeconomic classes...to not condemn the tweet would invite lots of problems. Sad...cause every now and then some USC student gets picked off by neighborhood solidarity partners.

It’s not been great for a while. I took a film class there a half-century ago and it was sketch then.

It could be really dangerous around USC campus...
