So, if they find that George died from a huge drug overdose, you are still going to hold to the theory the knee against the back of the neck, holding him down, killed him?

Probably I would. The video is pretty powerful stuff, and the police have been known to close ranks to protect one of their own.

So..just to be clear. We have a man. Handcuffed. Face down. With what looks to be about 180lbs worth of a cops knee cap focused on a small area of the back-quarter of his neck. He’s begging for help. Says he cant breathe. He passes out and dies. The cop keeps his weight on his neck.

And you’re suggesting that he just happened to slip into a coma from a lethal dose of some drug whereas before he was walking????

Are you high?

Let us assume you are right. The man was high as a kite. Nevermind we have video of him handcuffed and being walked around, with no sign of impairment.

So high as a kite, in the middle of an overdose. Did the actions of a knee to the neck help or hinder his death? Once a man is in cuffs (deceased was in cuffs since he was pulled from the car) it is the officer’s responsibility to ensure his health.

We see that as he went unresponsive, the knee remained in his neck. Even after an off duty first responder called for a pulse check. Heck the knee stayed even after the ambulance got there. It was not removed until they had a gurney there and rolled the lifeless body onto it.

No, you see, high as a kite or not, the responsibility of that officer, once the man is in cuffs, is to ensure his health. Essentially when this man went comotose the officer should have reverted to his second job of being a first responder and administering life saving techniques.

Former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin arrested in George Floyd case

In case you missed it.

Murder 3 and Manslaughter.

Going for the layup rather than risk letting him walk on Murder One.

More favoritism towards government employees.
