But what he doesn’t mention is that NYPD is also terrified of the Karens, and has not been issuing citations for unleashed dogs or dogs in specifically “no dog” zones for years because they’re afraid of trying to do it. So Karen probably thought they’d be on her side.

They used to enforce the no-dog or leash laws in the park, but in the last few years I’ve seen that unleashed dogs are more the rule than the exception.
