What are “Karens”? And while we’re at it, who is “Florida Man”? I seem to have missed the origin of these cultural expressions.

A Karen is a stupid, bossy, entitled woman (of any race, but most often seen as Caucasian) who demands things that she is not entitled to get and does things like demand to speak to your manager in a place you don’t work at, knowing you don’t work there, to get what she wants.

“Florida Man” is a lot easier. Basically, it’s a stereotype based on the huge number of news articles that are titled “Florida Man” followed by “does (insert name of truly colossally stupid activity here)”

Karen will lie to authority, cheat and steal to get what she feels she is rightfully entitled to or to get revenge. Karen is known to refuse to obey rules and believes the world revolves around her and her alone. Unsurprisingly, Karen also often demonstrates severe Narcissistic Personality Disorder:
