At this point, the Royal Navy is weaker than the navies of India and Japan. The Falkland island war would be impossible for the UK today.

I think it’s great Farage is filming this and making waves about it.

And there may have been more of a grain of truth in it all along. In school we learned that Britain allied with France a century ago because it was afraid of a rising Germany.
More recent scholars have suggested that Britain signed treaties with France and Russia because it was afraid of war with France and Russia over colonial possessions, and the fear of Germany came along later, once Britain had tied itself to France in an alliance.
As history has shown us, the British Navy had no problem shooting at French ships entering their waters in the past. Why stop now?

Well, that explains why there have been no articles about the "refugee" camps in Calais recently. Apparently the French have been sneaking them across the Channel on the sly.
Of course, this is not news to the U.K. government or the British Admiralty. Every bit of surface traffic in the English Channel is visible to them on radar. Farage is exposing a lot more than just French misdeeds.
Why not escort into the open sea and point toward Bermuda?

That was a waste of money. They aren’t illegal until they are in British water and no longer within the responsibility of the French. And while they are in French water, and doing nothing wrong by French law, then it is the responsibility of the French to see they have safety just like our Coast Guard does for leisure boaters. They aren’t illegal until they hit the British waters at which time the French no longer have jurisdiction over them, thus responsibility.
