Pence: We Will Move RNC Convention to a More Open State ‘if Needs Be’
Breitbart ^ | May 25 2020 | TRENT BAKER

Posted on 05/25/2020 10:59:24 AM PDT by knighthawk

On Monday, President Donald Trump put out a series of tweets pointing to North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper’s (D) uncertainty about how much longer his state will be shut down due to the coronavirus, which could cause issues with Charlotte hosting the Republican National Convention in August.

Not long after the president’s tweets, Vice President Mike Pence on FNC’s “Fox & Friends” shared some more insight into Trump’s tweets about the possibility of moving the convention.

Pence said the Trump administration has been weighing the issue about moving to a state that is further along in reopening, but they are still working with Cooper because they “want to be in Charlotte.”

Needs to go to a city and state led by Republicans. How about Fort Worth, Texas?

They should have many other options if the gov does not cooperate.
Oklahoma City comes to mind, TX, FL, etc etc.
Fine, turn down a huge boost to revenue when people and businesses are hurting, dumba$$.

The problem with Florida or Texas, venues needed to accomodate the size of the RNC are in solidly blue counties. Clay Jenkins(Howdy Duty) in Dallas county would have a knipton fit.

Someone stated Fort Worth, Arlington in Tarrant county would be better. The RNC could use the brand new Globe Life park or Jerry world. Plenty of hotel rooms also.

I don’t mind driving Hidalgo further insane, but look at the hassle and harassment the NRA got when it tried to hold its convention in Dallas a few years ago.

Anti-American, communist cities are not the places to try to reward with convention dollars. They will make it as difficult for real Americans as possible. Besides, this year they are cess pits of Bat Fever. Why give Houston the chance to make things ugly?

Purple battleground states. Need R Governors. Too bad since NC best choice. Next up GA or AZ.

GA has two Senate races and a flippable House seat, along with electoral vote in mid-teens. AZ has McSally and a flippable House seat with low teens electoral vote.

Another pro AZ vote is TSMC new state of the art semi plant with 1600 direct jobs when open. Lots of construction jobs 2021 - 2023.

Can Wilbur Ross get Samsung and Intel to commit new fabs there also. No better way to tout economic reopening than 5nm fabs and their supply chains.

Those chip plants need a steady supply of fresh water and Colorado River is not capable.

New pipeline to new desalination plant at Socal Pacific or Baja Mexico. More construction jobs and US steel and CAT heavy equipment.

Buy American, Hire American on steroids.

It must be a SUPER HUGE venue because last time, Cleveland, was too small for the event. Everyone was stepping on each other on the floor.
