The attorney for former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn is alleging that former Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team pursued Flynn's prosecution solely to prolong its investigation of President Trump.

"It should never have been prosecuted," Flynn lawyer Sidney Powell said in a special new episode of Fox Nation's "Witch Hunt." The episode, hosted by Fox News legal analyst Gregg Jarrett, will first air Sunday evening on the Fox News Channel.

"Mueller knew from Day One that the Russia hoax was blown to bits," she said. "They all knew that. They knew ... the 'Steele Dossier' -- all of that was an absolute hoax. The only way they could keep the Mueller investigation going was to create the obstruction hoax."

Did Mueller know it was a hoax? He should have figured it out, but many of them did know.

Mueller not only knew it was a hoax, he helped create it.

It was a set from the get, a frame, something that a psycho like him did many times before. That’s all documented.

That a vicious nutcase like him is in a position of legal power within the government of the United States is an indictment of the entire system. A legal system of a supposedly Free People should never have tolerated him or his tactics.

And yet ALL of the actors are still roaming free and will probably remain free. Mark my word, NOBODY will go to jail. I have ZERO confidence in our justice system.

I know Michael Flynn has gone through hell the last 4 years, but if this hadn’t happened ,we would never know the bad guys...What they were doing would have never seen sunlight....I feel bad for Flynn and hope he makes millions from lawsuits, but I’m grateful he helped unearth the treachery that nobody knew about......

See post 4. What good is knowing about it when nobody is held accountable?

This. It should be copied and pasted to all threads that even mention punishing the Deep State, and have those threads locked closed (sadly, I don't think that's possible with the FR software).

The only defense I have for Mueller is that he was the senile front man, being used without knowing that he was because, frankly, he is out of it mentally. I only saw him appear publicly twice - the first time was a bizarre press conference in which he would take NO questions - usually a sign of something weird going on. The second was his House Committee testimony, where he appeared in a daze, didn’t know what the Fusion outfit was, didn’t seem to know about the phony dossier that was at the heart of his investigation, and couldn’t answer much of anything. Either he played the doddering dimwit fool extremely well, or in reality, he didn’t have to do any acting.

You make a valid point....The problem seems to be nobody wants to be the one to start the ball rolling...Everyone has dirt on everyone else and so nobody gets nailed when they do the wrong thing....Look at Andrew Cuomo..Murdered the elderly and will get away with it.....The Rosenbergs were put to death for less than what the swamp did to Michael Flynn and Trump.....

You nailed it. Prosecutors who destroy innocent people for political reasons -- how else would you describe such behavior, other than psychopathic?

LOL. Judge Sullivan must be stroking out at Powell’s media appearances. How long until he tries to gag her, too?

Eggs Ackley. A man who was in command of his own mind would have figured it out. Maybe they completely gaslighted him. Or maybe he is pretending he didn't know.

Even worse, Graham knew it was a hoax and threatened to author a Mueller Coup protection act. That was after not voting for Trump and keeping his powerful judiciary committee chairmanship. With Republicans like Graham who needs Democrats?

Disagree. The problem is Trump and his supporters are the victims.

The GOP decided early on to never support him against the Russia hoax due, I believe, to their opposition to his unorthodox campaign season NATO/Russia statements. And of course they wanted the MAGA agenda hamstrung, too. Mueller was the vehicle to do just that.

Mueller was a figurehead.

Flynn was the crown jewel of the Special Counsel’s Office led by Weismann.

It has not only fallen apart, but Flynn has been shown to be a victim instead of a criminal.

They dismissed the troll farm case, which was a complete joke and had no influence on the election. The evidence was clear that the “troll farms” placed ads for and against both candidates not in an effort to impact the election - they wanted clicks for advertising $$$ the same as all the salacious headlines and photographs you see at the bottom of the Fox News webpage and many others.

I suspect the same troll farm posted many non-political clickbait links. They did not even name the right people or companies in the case. It was a soup sandwich with a big press conference by Rosenstein and Mueller and the media bought it hook, line, and sinker.

They dismissed it because the discovery was a joke (and a mess) and they knew all of this was going to be revealed.

Now the Flynn case - their most high profile “prosecution” has fallen apart and revealed the scheme.

We know we will see a review of the Papadopoulos prosecution now as well. Huber is interviewing the CI assets that kept contacting him. We know they tried to set him up with the 10k given to him overseas. We also know he pled guilty because he was out of options and money.

It is pretty obvious that he was another setup similar to Flynn - same playbook and same actors. I expect that the DOJ will move to nullify his prosecution.

Rudy Guliani’s last two podcasts were interviews with Papa D and I would urge you to watch them. He lived this thing first-hand and it sounds like a really bad spy movie.

The main takeaway for Papa D is that his pleading was based on dates he met with Mifsud. However, if the government initiated those contacts using an agent of the government (Mifsud) to gain information another government agent planted with him it is clearly entrapment and his “lies” about his contacts were immaterial to any legitimate investigation.

He spent 11 days in club fed, yet the prosecution of him was so important they ambushed him at an airport looking for the 10k they gave him and they did a criminal complaint on a weekend against him? Let that sink in....

They never charged Carter Page with anything despite the fact that he was the subject of 4 FISA applications. Why?

It is obvious. We know Page was a source for the FBI and CIA. They knew it too. However, they did not put that in any of the 4 FISA warrant applications. A lie by omission. However, the FISA gave them the two hops rule and therefore they were able to listen in real time to many people in the Trump orbit and retroactively. If they had charged Page this would have been revealed by his defense and those who signed the applications would have needed to explain this omission in the applications.

The Special Counsel’s investigation is falling apart before our eyes despite 2 years of “Mueller is going to get Trump.” It was a travesty. A partisan witchhunt against a duly elected President that was supposed to investigation Russian collusion (another farce) yet they never considered the Steele Dossier or how that was injected into the election and transition?

Cohen had his own dirt (taxi cab medallions) that had nothing to do with Trump.

Manafort pled guilty to things that preceded his involvement with Trump on a case that had been previously been declined for prosecution. They dug it back up and prosecuted it to get another high profile scalp, but they ignored the same crime on a bigger scale committed by the Podesta Group (Clintonistas)?

This whole scheme is unraveling and it involved a lot of people at the top of powerful agencies leading all the way back to the previous administration.

The treachery is unearthed but what will be the long term result? That’s what worries me...that the result will be that the crooks in DC will have a better handle on what they can get away with. UNLESS - the press starts doing its job...fat chance.

Agree. Matt Gaetz was right when he called out Ryan and Gowdy for the lack of subpoena’s. However, the appointment of the special counsel and all the gravitas that was given to it by Graham and the GOPe along with the media there was little to be done because witnesses had to get their testimony approved by Weismann.

My point is that Nunes and some others on the house committee were going to be able to find out more despite the blocking of the GOP leadership so the special counsel not only acted to persecute the plan to get Trump, it was used to block testimony by key players that might have unraveled this farce earlier lest “it interfere with the Special Counsel investigation”.

In other words, the Special Counsel did not only act as persecutor, it was used as the protector for many of the key players. The Special Counsel immediately controlled the information flow and they used it vigorously.

They could not have attempted this soft coup without the protection and involvement of key members of the GOPe.

If you or I wrong someone, we ask their forgiveness and that of God. These power hungry thieves brought garbage charges against people they knew were innocent, bankrupted them. humiliated them and their families in predawn raids, coordinated with, and used the corrupt lying media to spread scandalous trash about them. How do these skunks live in their own stench?
