And why has the suspect’s name not been released? The names of suspects are released immediately if it’s a white perp. Interesting.
According to this report, the young male perpetrator of the attack was known to have mental illness and behavioral problems, has been accused of assaulting a staff member at another facility. He was diagnosed with Covid-19 and was quarantined at a nursing home with elderly, fragile patients.

There was a local elderly housing complex that had to take in patients with mental illness. It was a high rise. The mentally ill roamed the halls of the high-rise terrorizing the older residents. for years.
There was a reason that our forefathers opened mental health residents and sanitariums through out the country. To protect the public from them and them from the preying public.
The severely autistic kids do not have bad personalities.
They are seriously twisted. They need serious medication and locked down environment.
Their families suffer too. No legal rights after the patient turns 18 and no residency programs to care for them.
People are upset about our past history with lobotomies.
These are the patients the surgery was designed for
Now we have medications that do similar things, except the patient can stop taking them.
It got coverage here in Chicago. They mentioned it on the news last night, but I don’t remember which outlet.
There is a violence factor to one terrible mental illness - Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. Totally preventable, incredibly expensive (financially and societally), and devastating for those dealing with it. The world of someone with FAS is uncontrollable chaos unless their lives are severely structured - which is why they actually thrive in prison. But you cannot get into prison without committing a crime and our “talk therapy find your real you” mental health care system thinks confinement for patients is evil when, in fact, many would blossom.

I don’t believe for a second that it is idiocy that CCP virus infected people are sent into nursing homes. It is deliberate effort to raise the death count.

You can be both. If your mental issues cause you to become violent and act out you are vicious regardless of the cause. I have a friend who has an Autistic son with behavioral problems. When he goes off he attacks anyone in sight. He is now institutionalized because he tried to kill his mother. When he was stable he was a pretty nice kid, but it was always when not if he would go off again.
Same with the NBC affiliate in Indianapolis.

He’s not a juvenile. I don’t understand why his name is being withheld.
It was hard to watch this. I was so upset and anger that I couldn’t watch the whole thing. I felt the Fathers explanation was like an act of contrition.
He was just explains the situation involving his sons mental state, which was quite obvious. He really didn’t need to go public with his story. I thought he was sincere.
