It is magical, a price to release the hostages, matches unfunded city liabilities: the state is not much better.

After increasing from $1.4 billion to $8.1 billion under former Mayor Bloomberg, pension costs have continued rising under de Blasio. Based on the mayor's latest proposed financial plan, the pension appropriation in de Blasio's fourth budget will be $1.5 billion (19%) above the level in Bloomberg's last budget. By fiscal year 2021, according to the mayor's latest projections, pension costs will reach $10 billion, or nearly 15% of city-funded spending.

You broke it, you fix it. On the other hand, the voters got what they voted for so don’t cry.

You destroyed it. >You< figure out how to bring it back. CA wants the same thing, taxpayers from other states to bail out your incompetence.

Maybe he and Cuomo better stop all the leftist liberal give aways to illegals. Stop the Free college Crap. And the list goes on. Don’t expect the rest of the country to pay for all of that.

Raises local taxes. Make sales taxes, like, 15% or something. Raise cigarette taxes from $9 a pack to $15 a pack. Raise liquor tax from $3 a gallon to $9 a gallon. Raise taxicab fares, and add a 25% uber surcharge to all rides in the city. Double subway and train fares. Raise the hotel occupancy tax from 18% to 44%. Oh, and tack on a 25% surcharge on Broadway shows (only 20% for off-Broadway, and 15% for off-off Broadway). And make the minimum wage $30 an hour so people can afford to pay these taxes. Is a sarcasm tag needed?

NY didn’t have beds.. masks... did they ever prepare for anything? It’s no surprise they need money... most cities do and so do families who have lost jobs.... these leaders should do what leaders are supposed to do... prepare... don’t expect someone else will take care of your concern.. NY.

I get concerned on how much the debt is now... and dem governors are reluctant to open their states... open the shops/stores... they can’t overcome if they keep businesses closed and no jobs for the people.

Call us after De Dick-io has lost his last penny.

That’s LAST PENNY.

Oh, and we have to find him hanging from a lampost a la Mussolini.

Them we might think about sending NYC a couple of bucks.

Along with an extended finger.

Suckers - they elected him, they can shove his body up their collective Obamasholes.

How about the city pensioners can keep their pensions at full benefit so long as they reside in, and continue to pay city and state taxes in NYC. Decrease the amount a certain percent for people who retire but stay in NY, and even more for retirees who leave the state entirely. Most retirees will gladly take the cut and still come out ahead.

De Blasio said he expects even greater losses, and that the city’s economy “won’t come back without a stimulus.”

Sounds fine to me.
New Yorkers can always move to Akaska. Plenty of empty land there and wide open places.
The tough boys from the hood can always wrestle with the grizzlies.
