Attorney General Bill Barr said Monday he does not expect U.S. Attorney John Durham’s review into the origins of the Russia probe will lead to a “criminal investigation” of either former President Barack Obama or former Vice President Joe Biden -- while noting that their concern of “potential criminality” in the conduct of that probe is “focused on others.”
Barr, during a press conference otherwise focused on the December 2019 shooting at Naval Air Station Pensacola, spoke at length about the Durham investigation. He said he has a “general idea” of how the investigation is going and confirmed that “some aspects are being investigated as potential crimes.”
Barr did say, however, that “not every abuse of power, no matter how outrageous, is necessarily a federal crime.”
“As for President Obama and Vice President Biden, whatever their level of involvement based on what I know, I don’t expect Durham’s work will lead to a criminal investigation of either man,” Barr said. “Our concern of potential criminality is focused on others.”

Lots of room was made, by Barr, to first, position himself as the humble, simple and civil observer of the general direction of the investigation.

Yes I agree, it’s to protect the office of the POTUS, but it remains to be seen if Barr will indict anyone at all which I highly doubt. I really do not trust that guy at all.

Barr’s choice of words is interesting, he said “does not expect”, instead of “there will be no” criminal investigation.

That's how I've thought about Durham's investigation. I've never expected any indictments to go as high as Obama, but do see some trials coming for others.
It makes sense to take the focus off the past President and his Veep, who of course, is the fantasy Future President. It would quickly become a flash-point of controversy issuing from the Dems that any investigation of Biden and Barry is a brazenly unfair way to install a dark cloud over Joe’s nodding head and influence the outcome in November.
What you’re describing is absolutely MADDENING to me, but it’s the very “soul” of how FOX presents and WANTS to present itself as “fair and balanced”. For me, that tends to veer off very quickly into FOX is hedging its bets and wants it both ways, or everywhichway. Tucker remains their biggest,smartest and most ethical and incorruptible attraction. He’s absolutely great and every minute of his show is essential. On the other end of the spectrum is the permanent fixture of Juan Williams, nearly every bit as dumb as anyone on CNN or MSNBC. He wouldn’t make it there though because he wouldn’t stand out. On FOX he stands out as another “point of view” that never amounts to much, but must satisfy some marketer in the front office. I wouldn’t watch news coverage anywhere other than FOX, but I can do COMPLETELY without any of them except,(in order of importance) Tucker, Laura, Gutfeld and Jessie Watters.
Amend that to put Laura at the end. I don’t think she necessarily books her own show, but the regular presence of that smiling idiot Chris Hahn is a really aggravating feature of her show,and makes me leave the room .When she’s on her own,though,like when she went for a special town hall in Chicago to the environs of the black ghetto, she can really be great.
