The mask protects the wearer from angry looks.
That's it.

I will NOT wear a mask, and I;m old.
Asians wear them because the AIR is so damn dirty.

GREAT ARTICLE! I have been a Medical Technologist for over 40 years, the last 37 of which as a MLT Instructor in a community college. There is NO medical reason for me to wear a mask and I have not done so. I did order some from Amazon, which FINALLY came in. My daughter and I went to Harris-Teeter in Surf City, NC, yesterday where there is a mandatory mask order in effect. Mine was in my pocket and hers was in her purse. The vast majority of customers were NOT wearing masks!

Dr. Russell Blaylock warns that not only do face masks fail to protect the healthy from getting sick, but they also create serious health risks to the wearer. The bottom line is that if you are not sick, you should not wear a face mask.

The next time Dr. Blaylock undergoes surgery I hope he tells the doctors and nurses in the operating room to remove their masks because if they're not sick they shouldn't be wearing them. And God knows that if Blaylock's life is in their hands then the last thing he wants is a virus concentrating in the nasal passages, entering the olfactory nerves and traveling into the brain.

Facebook won't allow this article to be posted because Dr. Mikkelson did some research at his kitchen table and found that members of Antifa were less likely to die from the coronavirus.

Haha is that why I am getting hit on more wearing the mask than without it? It is starting to become comical. I need to be able to whip out some type spray.

All employees in the State of Ohio are required to wear a mask.

“BIG difference, between Asia and America.”

Yep, Asia wears masks and has less than 1% of the virus spread that we do, and less than 1% of the deaths.

I wonder why surgeons, who may wear a mask for hours , are not keeling over into the operative field?

I go to the Home Depot about once a week, working on my house with the extra downtime. I see a lot of Mexicans in this store and none of them wear masks.

“I’ve been wearing masks for as long as I can remember, when sawing, sanding, grinding, spray painting, etc.”

There was a period of time when I was young and stupid, and also stupid...when I didn’t wear a facemask while performing the functions you mentioned. But then I realized how much I was damaging my lungs. When the plague hit, I already had the standard supply of N95 masks in the shop.

That is your God given right!

Just don't claim that masks harm healthy people and make outlandish excuses for the reasons you don't wear them.

A co-worker ended up in the ER with hypoxia after wearing a mask for hours on-site. A few other co-workers commented that he must have underlying health condition. I have my doubts that is the sole reason. He is a young healthy guy.

Thanks for posting this. I’m saving it to support the concerns some of us have about possibly having to wear masks all day as a requirement for returning to work.

We are all teleworking and getting the job done just fine. I feel crappy after wearing a mask in the grocery store for awhile. Can’t imagine wearing one for eight hours.

Regarding the hypoxia. Here is an excerpt from the movie "Contact" (1997).

INT. DOCKING BAY

Hadden glide-walks Ellie to the airlock. They share one last look at the magnificent view of Earth -- then she turns to him:

ELLIE
Why don't you come back with me?

HADDEN
Can't. Doctor's orders.
(pausing)
The low oxygen/zero gravity
environment is the only thing
keeping the cancer from eating me
alive.

(laughs at Ellie's shock)
It's all right -- I like it here.
Ever try sex in zero-G?
He raises an eyebrow. Ellie smiles, then steps into the airlock. They face each other. Hadden pauses before closing it.

HADDEN
One more thing, Doctor. If you do
meet these Vegans...? Ask them if
we have to die.
ELLIE'S POV FROM SHUTTLE - MINUTES LATER

The umbilicals release; the shuttle drifts away. Hadden
watches from his panorama window, small, motionless, as
Mir recedes and the shuttle retros back towards Earth.

It has long been proposed that hypoxia can prolong life.

Hypoxia and gene expression

By stating that hypoxia (low-oxygen conditions) may promote longevity, the researchers suggest that this environment can alter the expression of aging-associated genes, resulting in the extension of lifespan.   Nov 15, 2016

So, you're going to be OK in that respect too.

“hypoxia can prolong life”

Awesome! Now there are 2 reasons to wear masks forever!

Only if you want to. I’m not wearing a mask now, but I do sleep with my head under the covers.

I’ve been wearing masks for as long as I can remember, when sawing, sanding, grinding, spray painting, etc. In fact, I was surprised when people started talking about N95 masks for the virus, thinking that they must be something special, then I realized that’s what I had been using all along.

The only problem I have noticed is that as soon as I put one on, my nose starts to itch.

I still had two masks myself.   I didn't realize it was the same mask they were all talking about until I glanced in the mirror and saw N95 reflected there.
