Emmet G. Sullivan, the judge in the case of former Trump National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, is refusing to let William Barr’s Justice Department drop the charge. He’s even thinking of adding more, appointing a retired judge to ask “whether the Court should issue an Order to Show Cause why Mr. Flynn should not be held in criminal contempt for perjury.”
I might even forgive Taibbi for his crude comments about Sarah Palin back in 2008. He and Dershowitz are two of the few Democrats who’ve been scandalized by the Obama administration/FBI’s behavior and the media’s complicity in it.

I've always said that as soon as they think they can get away with it they will stomp on our necks and start firing squads. Well, they are stomping on our necks but the firing squads are not yet convening. But my instinct is still pretty validated.

Democrats have BOTH parts of the phrase “civil liberties”. They are neither civil, nor do they have much to do with liberties.
Democrats have become a raging flash mob, organizing to rush in and storm those places they find vulnerable, then spreading their message outward, “See how terrible those people were!” Almost always, they have projected their own moral and character deficiencies upon those whom they have just savaged, and in the stampede, actually turn the wider public opinion.

There’s a standard series of questions a judge will ask a Victim of the Court in a guilty plea situation. “Are you aware of the potential consequences of this plea?” “Are you making this plea of your own free will?” “Are you under any duress to make this plea” - that sort of thing.
Of course no one is going to admit that they are under duress and being forced to plea out “or else”.
Sullivan is now seeking to punish Flynn on this technicality.
“Civil liberties” to a Democrat means aborting babies, NAMBLA gatherings, hairy backed male chomos identifying as “girls” and going into the Girls room. Blacks beating up people for the fun of it, Illegals voting and collecting welfare. Getting sex changes at eight years old. On and on and on ad-vomitum...
As for those other things like Freedom of Speech and Religion. The right to peaceably assembly. The right to keep and bear arms. The right to your own property and earnings. Yeah, those are racist.
Maybe the solution is that Flynn, under duress, pled guilty to being inconsistent in the Lisa Page modified 302 copies. However, he did not plead guilty in the original Pientka 302 forms, which should be the primary evidence, but... alas... are now lost!
