Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti announced Wednesday that Angelenos must wear masks any time they leave their home.
Anyone except for small children and people with disabilities will have to wear a facial covering when they are near others who don’t live in their home, he said. Previously, masks were only required in businesses and on public transportation.
“Bring your masks with you whenever you leave your home. That will help us get more freedoms,” he said.
Garcetti also announced that all retail locations in the city can now open for curbside and doorside pickup or delivery. Businesses are not mandated to open, the mayor added, and if they need more time, they should take it. When they do open, they must have completed a retail establishment physical distancing checklist.
Some manufacturing restrictions were lifted as well, allowing those which serve retailers to reopen as long as they adhere to safety protocols.

I am skeptical that some LAPD officers will harass me for not wearing a mask while walking around my neighborhood...
I am also skeptical that LAPD officers will harass a homeless guy crossing a street for not wearing a mask...
I will wear a mask to get into the grocery store...But, I will not wear a mask while walking around my neighborhood...

I walked past the LAPD cops multiple times in 2 weeks without any stupid mask and they didnt arrest me. The only time I wore that damn mask is when they go Nazi about it like 7-11 or 99c store.

Someone needs to explain the irrational terror that Democrats and the Democrat leadership have for this common cold virus.

Gavin Newsom awarded a billion dollar no-bid contract to a Chinese electric car company, which happens to have a big investment by Warren Buffet, to make masks. The company, which has never made masks before, promised to deliver on a scale that is faster than 3M, which has been making masks for years, can produce. Now they need to put those masks to use. If they try to sell them to Los Angeles the cost will also be higher than 3M would have charged. Gotta love California.

Did anyone tell the Mayor how ridiculous he sounded when he talked about freedom? Like a benevolent dictator, he said that citizens will get more freedom if they wear mask all the time...

Exactly. I had seen an earlier post where they showed some of his tweets and he literally is requiring you to wear a mask if you wanna Exercise on the beach by yourself. You have to wear a mask if you want to walk, jog, or run on the beach or anywhere else in the city. That seems healthy running with a mask. He also said you cannot ride a bicycle in beach areas as exercise, even with a mask is that apparently is dangerous and will kill people because of coronavirus or something
At least you can take your mask off if you want to go swimming or surfing, but then you must put it right back on what you get out of the water, don’t ask questions just do it because it will help you gain freedom.
Around here I'd say its about 25% of people wearing masks outside. A week or two ago it was more like 50%. I expect and hope to see less and less masks going forward.
If we left it up to the idiotic left then we'd all be forced to wear masks the rest of our lives. We can't allow them to snatch our liberties and ruin our economy like this. We are protected from govt intrusions by our God given rights spelled out in our Constitution. We just got a taste of their intended tyranny and it's very ugly. We have to fight them now before it's too late. Remember, they're in the wrong and we are in the right, and they've taken enough from us already.
This mask business is stupid. Most of the masks that I see being worn are about as effective at stopping a virus as a chain link fence is at stopping a dust storm. And the ones that are effective force you to breathe in your own breath, filled with CO2 and germs, which will eventually cause health problems.

Wearing mask on the beach...That is silly.
LAPD will harass me for not wearing a mask while walking near water in Venice Beach...Really? I am sure that they have better things to do.
