Kara Eastman, a progressive backed by high-profile Democrats including New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, captured victory Tuesday in a Nebraska Democratic congressional primary, boosting the hopes of liberal activists.
The win by Eastman who unsuccessfully sought the seat two years ago -- in the state's 2nd congressional district sets up a highly anticipated 2018 general election rematch with Republicans and serves as a rebound for progressive candidates in 2020 races.
Eastman trounced her centrist primary opponent, Ann Ashford, securing more than 60 percent of the vote as she moves forward to Novembers election. It was a significant increase from her first win in 2018 primary when she narrowly upset the moderate Rep. Brad Ashford by less than 1,500 votes. She went on to lose to the current incumbent GOP Rep. Don Bacon.

“She went on to lose to the current incumbent GOP Rep. Don Bacon.”
Which will happen again.
When Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez runs for president, she will be far more lethal than Bernie. The Rs better get ready.
... which makes victory for us(Republicans) far more easier.
Misleading title. She won a democrat primary but the title makes it sound like she won a race against Republicans. Lol.
The Repub won this with less than 2% which is what Trump had two years earlier.
Obama won this district by 1% first time snd lost to Romney (who did better than Trump) in the 2012.
5,000 vote win out of a quarter million. This guy needs some polish and a push over the fence.
That she might have a chance in NEBRASKA is depressing...

It all depends on how many votes the Dems can steal and manufacture.
Midwest liberals are obnoxious clowns. They need to go the coasts and live their trash politics among their scum brethren.
