Dauphin County’s declaration started with a letter of protest from Haste, but was backed up by a tweet this evening from fellow Commissioner Mike Pries, who declared his support for Haste’s memo, and that their intent is to follow the same path blazed by their Lebanon counterparts.

Great news. I was just wondering when two counties I never heard of were going to do something.

From the start this should have been overseen by the counties. There’s a big difference between Cook County and Hardin County, and there’s no need for the governors to suffocate everyone.

As soon as Dauphin County opens up I’ll take a ride there and buy some lunch and say hello to these brave folks who are deciding to ignore Wolf and the man-freak in a dress.

To give everyone a sense of perspective, below you will find the PA COVID19 fatality count by county as of May 7. Caveat emptor - we know there has been funny stuff going on with the counts. That said...

Perspective comes chiefly from putting each county's fatality total on a common footing: I take each county's fatality total, divide it by that county's population (i.e., convert it to a per capita fatality value) then multiply it by the USA's total population of about 329 million. This results in a metric = "USA-Adjusted Fatalities" - that is comparable to the US total of 75,662 and is comparable across municipalities.

Daphin and Lebanon are fairly comparable at about 39k Adjusted fatalities, while Cumberland is at the high end with 40.6k but Perry is at a scant 7k. All are well below the PA Adjusted Fatality total of 92,647 and the US total of 75,662.

One of the more stunning things that I have seen is the sheer naivete and arrogance of those elites who thought that freedom loving Americans would tolerate being on lockdown more than a month or so.

It might not have been possible to precisely predict which locations would exhibit civil disobedience first, but its outbreak was inevitable.

The Libtards are now going to reap what they have sown. Their "sanctuary" policies regarding immigration have normalized disobedience of higher authorities. We have seen this here in Virginia in regard to gun legislation.

The capricious crypto-fascism of Blue State governors is further eroding respect for authority. And somehow, Libtards talk like Governor Whitmer in Michigan is a rising star. The looney toon governor in Oregon is going to risk real civil unrest.

In the end, the consent of the governed is needed--even in authoritarian societies.

That tranny thing admitted in the press conference today that the numbers for the last couple of days include deaths from the past.

So they are not reporting correctly and they are obviously playing politics.

A graphic to help put this in perspective:

Perry, Cumberland, Dauphin, and Lebanon are bascially the second tier of counties north of Maryland toward the western edge of the "red zone".

2/3 of the deaths statewide have been connected with nursing homes.

In Lancaster County the ratio is 141/145.

But the Tyrannical Trannie refuses to consider a County’s status independent of those petri dishes.

LIBERATE LANCASTER!

My county is Lebanon County, and all of the people who signed the letter to Gov. Wolf telling him they were moving to “yellow” and opening up on May 15th ARE ALL REPUBLICANS!

The only elected official who not only refused to sign but acted like a pearl-clutching Karen was the minority (DONK) Commissioner.

She can go hibernate herself.

Breaking story on ydr.com:

York County District Attorney Dave Sunday announced that his office “will not prosecute any criminal citations for alleged violation of the [Governor and Secretary’s] orders and regulations...concerning the operation of non-life sustaining business”.

He has further directed law enforcement not to issue and citiation.

PSP can churn them out until they get carpal tunnel but if the DA quashes...
