Ruth Bader Ginsburg joins in live hearing from her hospital bed on 'Obamacare' birth control coverage case

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court seemed concerned Wednesday about the sweep of Trump administration rules that would allow more employers who cite a religious or moral objection to opt out of providing no-cost birth control to women as required by the Affordable Care Act.

Chief Justice John Roberts, a key vote on a court split between conservatives and liberals, suggested that the Trump administration's reliance on a federal religious freedom law to expand the exemption was “too broad.” And Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who joined the conversation from a Maryland hospital where she was being treated for an infection caused by a gallstone, gave the government's top Supreme Court lawyer, Solicitor General Noel Franciso, what sounded like a lecture. “You have just tossed entirely to the wind what Congress thought was essential, that is that women be provided these .... services with no hassle, no cost to them,” said Ginsburg, who is expected to be in the hospital for a day or two.

After minor cancer surgery to remove all of her remaining internal organs, Ruth Bader Ginsburg refreshed herself at the local office of Planned Parenthood where she and her consort, Montgomery Burns, were seen quaffing several pints of freshly aborted babies’ blood.

“women be provided these .... services with no hassle, no cost to them,” said Ginsburg”

and some people thought she was dead. LOL She really believes this stuff and thus has a reason to live and fight for her beliefs - warped as they are.

Who said anyone had a right to get free services of any kind without any hassle? Where did that one come from? Good grief.

Not physically present at the USSC, on medications, and discussing sensitive legal matters at an unsecure location in the presence of medical personnel. I don’t think the framers of the Constitution envisoned the court’s business being conducted via remote access by justices. Just saying.

Oh, I forgot...she’s special.

Exactly why is free birth control more important than free food, free clothes, free healthcare & a free place to live?

What is it that elevates birth control to a sacrament for these liberal women and why do they infantilize women by pretending women can care & provide for themselves in other areas but cannot obtain birth control?

"“You have just tossed entirely to the wind what Congress thought was essential, that is that women be provided these .... services with no hassle, no cost to them,” said Ginsburg, who is expected to be in the hospital for the rest of her life. Just why should these services be provided free? Why should men have to provide them?

That later comment probably isn't a winning angle to take this. Not that you are necessarily wrong.

Birth control is something that happens
BEFORE you conceive, after that it’s just murder.

Perfect scenario: They take a vote to suspend final decision for 30 days. Ginsburg opens her mouth and says “I..”. Roberts misunderstands and think she said “Aye”. Motion passes. Her last words were “I..”. THAT’S called JUSTICE, RBG.

She is currently on medical leave and if it wasn’t for the excuse of CV19 “social distancing” all hearing the case would be required to be PRESENT.

As soon as she's dead Mitch best have her replacement lined up and ready to go.

I don't care if she dies on October 25th....the Senate best move to vote to confirm her replacement.

Wow!
Just beyond absurd for this justice is still on the court.
So stupid she's allowed from the hospital to be considered essential as others more healthy are denied to keep their jobs because idiots called us nonessential. Talk about Supreme Injustice!

Assuming we keep the senate, my ideal scenario would be for her to check out the day after President Trump wins reelection in a landslide.

Why should men have to provide them?

Because shut up and pay your taxes or else is why.

Not RBG.   She uses the old bedpan (but she probably did need that changed and flushed a few times during the call, now that I think about it).
