Yes, but the DNC is hilariously pretending that he is.
I can imagine that the Bernie Bros are immensely enjoying the DNC rubbing its corporate political ass in their face YET AGAIN.
I'd love to taunt the Bernie Bros on Twitter, but I don't want to get in the way while the party is "berning" itself alive...
“Democrats are concerned about Bidens age and possible cognitive issues a concern that some also have expressed about Trump.”
************************************************************
Laughable.
I'm old enough to remember William F. Buckley, Jr., an otherwise brilliant man, suggesting that Barry Goldwater pick Dwight D. Eisenhower as his running mate in 1964. Not that Ike would have accepted anyway and Goldwater still would have lost, but Ike was ineligible.
He will lose.. they know it. They spent 3+ years trying to replace Trump.. you think they gave up?
Trump will stand beside him in a debate.. Trump is a tall man.. big size.... will Trump pulverize Biden or feel sorry for him?
I just can’t see the dems letting it happen..
So if someone is ineligible to be elected president then he or she would also be ineligible to be elected vice president.
= = = = = = = = =
Without going into it to ‘deeply’ I came away understanding that the wording is such that it says one can’t be ELECTED to a 3rd term but (possibly) could succeed if in line???
Which leaves the question..Can an ‘ineligible’ person be elected to the #2 spot???
Kind of like the depends what is is or
“NO, I was never in the WH alone with her, there was always a guard or such around...” BULLSCHIFF and lawyerspeak -but I repeat myself-has taken over..<: <:
Rules etc had no bearing for his first 2 terms why should it interfere with the next one...Bet he is ‘sorry’ he didn’t have the shut the planet down scenario, have a feeling if he did, we would be talking about a 2025 opening..maybe
OMG, this sort of (reasonable) conjecture is going to keep me from sleeping tonight!
Is it really going to be Hillary?
No. Cuomo.
Can’t happen. 22nd. Amendment to The Constitution prohibits it.
The way our country has been acting, you think a silly little amendment would stop them?
You’re right Laz. What WAS I thinking?
Zero% Chance Bernie (in our dreams)
Zer0% Chance Hillary (our wildest dreams)
Zero% testing the constitutionality of a Former President as VP (Auh? I forgot your stance) and why the hell would he want it? Bichelle doesn’t seem interested either.
Who could replace Biden?
Yes, Cuomo, sure. Also Newsom, who I actually think is a better candidate, and I’m sure a bitch would be considered, Amy K most likely.
Read the amendment.
It says, no one may be ELECTED President more than twice.
it does not change ELIGIBILITY to BE President - as long as you dont get there by being elected, whatever that means in a Constitution that does not even have elections in it.
It would set up Pence / Trump 2024. That’s why the Rats won’t do it.
He’d pick his wife as VP.
It would be litigated, which wouldnt help his chances IMO...
Obama served two complete terms, so he’s ineligible to be President again
Nope. He just cant be ELECTED President again. The Constitution, however, does not even mention Presidential elections.
And resign. Then she could pick him right back to be VP. / head spinning. WTF?
Legally, legitimately, no.
But when have you known Dems to follow the rules?
They will lie, cheat, steal, whatever they can to win this one.
They've done it before. We must be vigilant and not let them get away with their shenanigans.
My money is on a couple of alternative psycho-team nominations:
* Hillary and Barack OR Michele Obama
* Cuomo and Kamala Harris
* Cuomo and Stacey Abrams (Not a **** chance but I put it in just for shits and grins)
* Newsome and Warren/Gillibrand or in desperation, Klobuchar
