Said another way, Joe Biden is seen as harmless, a figurehead to transition us from Trump but won't deliver us to the doorsteps of Socialism. That may make him the most dangerous as far as someone who might actually carry Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Missouri, etc. and deliver a stealth President from the Vice Presidency in year one who accomplishes the mission without having to run on the platform. It would be much better to run against Sanders and have a straight up vote for/against Socialism. Even in these times I think that sets up good for Trump. You make a good point. However, I think the people see that Trump showed them prosperity with no help from the other side for 3 years. Then COVID hit. Do people really think Imbecile Joe is going to lead us out of this from his basement? I think most people who hate Trump would just choose not to vote rather than cut their nose off. On the other hand, Bernie may be able to convince people that this is a new world order and as such we need to think that way politically - blow up the status quo in favor of a Socialist society. Either way, I think Biden is a weaker candidate by a lot. PLUS.....I don't think he is going to get much support from the far left (which he needs) because they are seething mad that the last two nominations were basically stolen from them.

It could be that Biden sidelines the "purists" to throw away their vote on the Green Party, so that is a possibility.
