California Gov. Gavin Newsom will be closing all beaches and state parks across the state starting Friday to help slow the spread of the coronavirus, according to a memo sent to California police chiefs Wednesday.
The decision comes less than a week after Newsom called out the massive crowds that flocked to Newport Beach in Orange County last weekend during a heatwave.
Newsom called the beach crowds an example of "what not to do" for the state to make progress toward easing restrictions in the statewide stay-at-home order.

This will end up being very good for Republicans. People have to get out. The beach is the safest place in California, unless you are an albino or can’t swim.

The Democrats have no fear whatsoever of public opinion. They think it matters not at all. They are going to increase the devastation and misery to as high a level as they can. They believe it will land in Trump’s lap because he failed to prevent it. And they will take over and rule with an iron fist, permanently. This is what their play is, this is what they’re going for.
This is the great come apart. All of western civilization teeters on the edge of a great Dark Age of totalitarianism.

My county in CA, and it’s largest town, have opened all city and county parks and trails.
Nobody is paying attention to Newsome’s orders out here because the infection rate is so low.
Pandering to his money men down in LA. If you look at a county by county breakdown of new cases in the state recently, you’ll see that those within about a 100-mile radius of LA accounts for 70-80% of the numbers.
I detest do-gooders of every political stripe.
If that happens, there will be a civil war.
