The New Jersey woman who helped organize and film a protest in the state capitol of Trenton against Governor Phil Murphy's stay-at-home orders was charged by the state police with violating the emergency decrees. The information comes to us via a press release from the state's attorney general, Gurbir S. Grewal and Colonel Patrick J. Callahan, Superintendent of the New Jersey State Police.
That's some pretty heavy artillery to keep a lone woman in line. All she did was exercise her right to organize a protest and film it. NJ.com: The protestors gathered outside the Statehouse and other locations in Trenton on Friday afternoon as Murphy and state health officials held their daily coronavirus press briefing.
A video taken by a woman who was live streaming the protest on Facebook showed people driving by the Statehouse honking their horns with American flags waving from their windows and others holding signs and flags on the sidewalk in front of the building. A woman holding a megaphone could also be seen among the relatively small crowd along with a group of masked New Jersey State Police troopers that the woman filming kept panning over to during the course of the nearly 10-minute long video.
Did the attorney general and superintendent of the state police really have to issue a press release about bringing the heavy-hand of government down on one, lone woman whose only crime was that she was outdoors filming a protest? That press release was obviously designed to scare off other protesters. Isn't that kind of like, well, sort of... tyranny?
Incredibly, AG Grewal bragged about the "enforcement action" in a tweet. AG Gurbir Grewal â@NewJerseyOAG If you think emergency orders are more like guidelines than actual rules, think again. HereÂs the latest on our

Wielded! Damn #$$*=&÷^× auto complete!
Its revolutionary to leave your house in 2020 America.
I guess these people in Jug Handle land really ARE STUPID!! Gov.Nazi will be re-elected!
If people in the fascist lib states had an ounce of sense they wouldn’t live there. But, since they do they should be ready for this crap with a Lawsuit ready to drop a moment after they are arrested or fined for protesting gov’t.
IMHO he’s deserving of impeachment and a looooong jail sentence.
It’s NJ and you can bet their SC is all rats so Murphy knows he won’t get smacked down.
I know what you mean. I finally turned off my “autocorrect.” Seemed like correcting mistakes was the last thing it did.
Protests are essential when Tyrannical Twits ignore our Constitutional rights.
Herr Gruppenführer Murphy, this is *our* resistance.
Thus rules Staatliche Sekretar der Partei Murphy and his use of the Ministerium fur Staatsicherheit.
Guilty in thought and word but not deed. My catholic catechism says its a sin, but government cannot make it a crime.
Believe me.. If I were in better health and had a family to go with me, I’d be outta NJ so fast.
it’s time for Tucker to kick his AZZ again on live TV
They could have that smile wiped off their faces soon. If I were a judge I would definitely listen to a lack of authority/unconstitutionality defense. Do you really want a judicial challenge where you have the highest burden of proof, Guv?
“whose only crime was that she was outdoors filming a protest?”
Which of course is not even a crime.
ITS TIME FOR LOTS MORE PROTEST!!!
I know some kids who pulled off a 6 person BBQ on Friday night by using encrypted chat and leaving their cell phones at home. And parking their cars out of sight.
Well, if this isn’t a violation of the 1st Amendment, then I don’t know what one is. Every single last one of these mother lovin’ commies needs to rot in jail.
