Vice President Mike Pence said President Trump is not happy with China over its early fumbles in disclosing the coronavirus that erupted in Wuhan but stopped short of outlining consequences Sunday, saying the administration is looking into it.
The presidents made it clear hes not happy, Mr. Pence told Fox News Sunday. Were going to make proper inquiries into this at the proper time.
Mr. Trump is highlighting Chinas culpability in failing to contain a virus thats raced around the globe, sickening 2.3 million people and killing 161,400 people, including nearly 40,000 deaths in the U.S.
If they were knowingly responsible, certainly. If it was a mistake, a mistake is a mistake. But if they were knowingly responsible, yeah, then there should be consequences, Mr. Trump said Saturday at the White House. I havent ruled out anything I want to look at the facts as they come in.
Mr. Trumps critics say the White House is highlighting China to deflect attention from his slow start in preparing and testing for the virus.

I imagine so.
Their attack must be answered, and I do not mean sanctions, Lindsey.
“Slow Start”
It’s amazing to me that this has any traction at all, but the brain-dead liberals and lying media are hammering it.
Taking the Katrina playbook, probably because it’s all they got.
Mike Pence is a consummate pro. He gave the perfect answer here.
That’s where it will sit as it should, for now.
The American people should be unhappy with China. Stop buying their consumer crap as much as possible. Yeah, I know. Some goods just are not made else where. There’s a lot of crap that we just don’t need, or stuff a handy husband can make himself. Take matters in your own hands and do something about it. Favor American made goods over ChiCom goods. Above all, ridicule anyone that supports China, communism, socialism, and hell yeah, Democrats too.
Uh oh.
To me this says China DID act willingly and knowingly, and that this was an asymmetric first strike.
President Trump is floating this so Americans get used to the idea. Here comes war.
Now you are talking my language.
You got that RIGHT, Jane!
Carter is the REASON I joined the Army at 17 - NO JOBS! 20% interest on Mortgages! 25% on Credit Cards! No gasoline, or long lines some weeks for expensive gasoline when you could get it. 444 days with Americans held HOSTAGE by Iranians! Aarrgghhh!
Gawd, Carter was the worst, though he has been surpassed in some ways by 0bama, for sure. *SPIT*
The Chinese play the infinite game, so we must also. We must stay the dominant power and economy on the planet which means they cannot be it. Everything needs to start moving toward that end. That means returning 80% of our manufacturing over the next 10 years, for example, not justgiving them a little slap next month.
Amen.
At first, it was a tie for WORST US President, ever, between Carter and 0bama....but, I think....0bama quickly overtook that dubious title.
Carter doing his level best to stay in the far left shat lane, though.
Absolutely, and PT is the man to do it.
I think of Obie as being Carter’s second term.
Just think, we went from the worst, most evil anti-American president ever, to the best president since George Washington.
Devine intervention
Revoke Chinas MFN status.
Formally recognize Taiwan and restore full diplomatic relations with them.
Kick them out of the WTO.
Slap a 400% tariff on anything they send here. No exceptions.
Double the price of all that pork theyre buying.
Recall our Ambassador for consultations.
Revoke every single Chinese educational, tourist, and work visa. Give them all 14 days to leave the country.
Tell them if they so much as twitch an objection we cancel every single T Bill they hold.
Those will do for a start, Mr. President.

“Their attack must be answered, and I do not mean sanctions, Lindsey.”
Their “attack”?? You want a war with China but fear the virus? Makes no sense. “Gee, we may be killed by a virus and should shut down the country for it, but let’s start a war!”
Feel stupid yet? You should.
You should superimpose Nixon in that lineup. He opened trade relations with China.
