Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf has directed businesses in the state to provide their employees with masks and has suggested that those who do not wear masks while shopping be denied service during the coronavirus pandemic.
Wolf’s remarks and the order came during a news conference on Wednesday. In addition to businesses being required to provide face masks for employees, the order also states that businesses must stagger work schedules in an attempt to prevent large gatherings.
According to Wolf, the order, which will begin on Sunday at 8:00 p.m., will also apply to customers and will “require all customers to wear masks while on premises, and deny entry to individuals not wearing masks, unless the business is providing medication, medical supplies, or food.”
Those who cannot wear a face mask due to health conditions will not be required to do so and will be forced to provide medical documentation. Children under the age of two will also not be required to wear a mask.
Businesses who fail to comply with the order risk the loss of their business license, fines, and citations. According to Wolf, state agencies including the Health, Agriculture, and Labor and Industry departments, the state police, Liquor Control Board, and local officials will enforce the order.

And you will be taking that N95 mask from a Hospital worker than desperately needs it. And if it hasn’t been fit to you and you have not been trained in how to wear it it will do you no good anyway. Hospital workers undergo yearly fit tests to be sure the mask fits properly and is worn properly
I can’t find/buy any real face masks. And I don’t want any of those “pussyfied “ home made masks that look like they are made out of used bras.

OSHA rules state that if you issue “respirators” to employees for any reason they must have the annual test. So it’s not just health care workers that get tested. My very industrial workplace does annual training in December of every year for respirators, fire extinguisher, other PPE and chemicals.

If this was combined with allowing shuttered stores to reopen then we might be able to work with this. But the governor’s announced he will a veto a bill the Pennsylvania legislature just passed to reopen a slate of businesses.
Never said I would actually wear a mask, or take a N95 from someone who needs it, but if it is so imperative I wear a mask per these Governors I better get a mask that will actually keep me safe.
That would make sense, if he said using masks would allow most closed businesses to get back to work, great. But to tack on wearing a T-shirt over your face, since you can’t find a mask now, to get groceries something like a month after all this happened is pure BS.
