Experts call for new national public health workforce to trace spread of COVID-19 cases
ABC "News" / Disney ^ | April 14, 2020 | By Nadine Shubailat , James Hill and Benjamin Siegel

It starts with a phone call from a public health worker: You’ve been in contact with someone who has COVID-19. How do you feel?

If you’re feeling sick, you may be asked to self-isolate, get a coronavirus test, and share the contact information for everyone you’ve recently interacted with.

The practice, known as contact tracing, is a tried-and-true public health technique used to trace everything from food poisoning to sexually transmitted diseases to Ebola.

Now, public health officials across several states believe it could be used on a far greater scale to help track the spread of COVID-19, stamp out future flare-ups, and restart the economy.

It could cost billions of dollars to rapidly recruit, train and deploy a massive new public health workforce to identify every of COVID-19 case and trace the contacts of each individual, according to the recommendations in a new report coauthored by university health experts and an organization representing U.S. state and territorial health officials.

"If we don't do that, we will not be able to lift these blunt social distancing measures that are keeping everyone at home," said Crystal Watson, a senior scholar at Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security and one of the lead authors of the report.

“A contact tracing effort of this unprecedented scale and of this critical and historical importance to the functioning and reopening of society has never before been envisioned or required,” the report said. “And our current core public health capacity is woefully insufficient to undertake such a mammoth task.”

This is part of their plan.
Google and Apple supplies the tracking software.
This is about creating a mandate and a huge new gov org.
DHS flipped Virginia thanks to GWB.
This could flip many of the existing Red States.

Sounds like a perfect excuse to start China-style control over us.

But this argument for more bureaurats to do their big government surveillance is just silly.

Deep state isn’t really even trying anymore.

It’s insulting.

In the Seattle area many/most people have toll stickers that are automatically scanned overhead for a bridge toll, etc.

Some places have the scanners on non-toll roads just to keep track of traffic issues. They say they don’t keep track of the identity of the person or vehicle - but they know that a vehicle has gone through there - or is traveling a 10 miles below the speed limit due to traffic.

If that system is anonymous as they claim, I’m okay with that. And I would be okay with cell phone data (IF anonymous - a big if) and have it hooked up with some app.

“Okay - 300 CV-19 carriers at Costco right now. I think I’ll go tomorrow morning.”

Although that would be problematic as well. I can just see some sort of “Infection Control Response Team” putting a net around some place that exceeds 50 possible carriers and shipping them off to quarantine centers.

No thank you.

9/11 gave us Homeland Security and the TSA. I was wondering what this was going to give us.

But at least that time it was not based on a completely fabricated event. This is a huge last gasp by the globalists to retain power. It’s not going to work. Leave us the F alone!

Like I said - its already here. I was talking to a neighbor cop and he said something like “If you drive into town (a large suburban town center) they know who you are and if you belong there.”

Aside from the traffic monitoring using the toll chips, he made it sound like there was some sort of automated scanning of license plates. They have stop light cameras, I’m guessing they might use those to scan EVERY plate that goes through the intersection looking for bad guys. As well as the cop cars having similar technology.

Like I said - if it was anonymous tracking information like traffic density which is already in use - that is one thing. But I’m guessing that it isn’t.
