Many people don’t have room in their refrigerators for restaurant-sized food packages.

No, he’s the guy who insisted on that constitution thingy being followed by forcing congress to actually vote on a $6T spending bill.

According to the CDC the better masks are needed for healthcare workers. But they won’t even take his masks because they are expired. So they sit in a storeroom while his employees are stuffing coffee filters in cloth masks.

You don’t even want to know how I feel about the CDC. I think when all is said and done some of them should be brought up on criminal charges. It’s a good thing Trump put Pence in charge or we’d still be doing a few hundred tests per state instead of tens of thousands through commercial means.

They knew what was coming, and they sat back and let it come, to try to make it Trumps Katrina. They will fail.

Not only that, people don’t know how to cook anymore. It’s a real mess.

Rusty0604 :" Yes, some restaurants are doing that. "

Locally, one of the submarine sandwich shops, "Subway", are advertising that they will sell retail some of their bread, lettuce, tomatoes, etc., etc.
and other products so as to keep open their supply chain, remove some strain on grocery stores, and keep their own doors open.

Grocery stores can de-package restaurant size packaging.

How does a grocery store “de-package” a 5-gallon carton of milk?

How does a grocery store without a butcher section “de-package” a large package of meat?

How does a grocery store “de-package” a 30-dozen carton of eggs?

Restaurant milk is distributed in 2.5 gal bags or pint chugs; further, almost 75 percent of milk is processed into hard products in this country, cheese and butter. Mozzarella is almost a third of total cheese production; how’s pizza sales going right now??

Distribute those bags to the retail trade..Canada has milk in bags, why cant we?

And as for being out of jugs....remember when milk came in paper cartons? Glass bottles?

If there are big cans of stuff the consumer will buy them...ask Costco.

I have noticed low inventories of groceries and frozen food, but not fresh vegetables. If people are concerned... buy the fresh stuff, cook it and freeze it.

My local has a butcher, no problem.

How does a grocery store “de-package” a 30-dozen carton of eggs?

No problem, just bring your own cartons.

For some of us........poaching will become fashionable.

I always feel a sense of security seeing the herds of deer and elk.

I disagree with the premise of this argument. But this is a good reason to open back up again.

Yep

“Maybe some retail consumer rules need to be changed but I’d hope the feds can do that.”

So unless Trump can do it as an EO, we’re screwed?

The Congressman should have been here last week. Poultry producer here in NC had truckloads of fresh poultry.

And not because the restaurants are not buying. Zaxbys, KFC, Bojangles, Popeyes all seem to be doing a great carry out only business.

The stores that sell most of the groceries in this country don’t have butchers.

How many people have egg cartons?
